Suggested Improvement in the Task Template Center
I use the ClickUp Task Template Center on a recurring basis to standardize professional projects and workflows. However, the current experience of managing and selecting models has limitations that significantly hinder the maintenance and evolution of these standards over time. I would like to share some suggestions for improvement that, in my opinion, would have a great positive impact for users who rely heavily on models. Deleting and editing templates in bulk Currently, it's not possible to delete or edit batch job templates. When there is a need to review, update, or reorganize models - something common in professional environments - the process becomes extremely time-consuming, as each model must be treated individually. Suggestion: Allow batch deletion and, whenever possible, batch editing (such as title, folder, tags, or description), facilitating structural updates and continuous maintenance of the models. Difficulty updating and renaming models Updating models, especially when it involves changing titles or reorganizing the nomenclature, requires individual editing, which hinders standardization and versioning processes. Suggestion: Create mechanisms that facilitate the updating and renaming of models, making extensive adjustments feasible without the need for excessive rework. Limitation on viewing model titles Currently, the visualization of the models in the selection interface presents short or truncated titles, which makes it difficult to quickly identify the correct model. In practice, this forces the user to open the model management to confirm which model to use, making the process slower and less efficient. Suggestion: Extend the view of model titles, allowing for longer and clearer names, or implement alternative views (such as tooltip, expanded view, or preview), making it easier to choose the appropriate template. Dear ClickUp Team, I rely heavily on ClickUp's Task Template Center to standardize professional workflows and projects. However, the current experience for managing and selecting templates presents several limitations that make long-term maintenance and evolution of standards unnecessarily difficult. I would like to share a few improvement suggestions that I believe would significantly benefit users who depend extensively on task templates. Bulk deletion and bulk editing of task templates At present, task templates cannot be deleted or edited in bulk. When templates need to be reviewed, updated, or reorganized — a common requirement in professional environments — the process becomes extremely time-consuming, as each template must be handled individually. Suggestion: Enable bulk deletion and, where possible, bulk editing of templates (such as title, location, tags, or description), making large-scale updates and ongoing maintenance much more efficient. Difficulty updating and renaming templates Updating templates, especially when it involves renaming or restructuring naming conventions, requires individual edits, which complicates standardization and versioning processes. Suggestion: Provide tools or workflows that make template updates and renaming easier to manage at scale, reducing repetitive manual work. Limited visibility of template titles during selection Currently, the template selection interface displays truncated or shortened titles, making it difficult to quickly identify the correct template. In practice, users often need to open the template management panel just to confirm which template they are selecting, which slows down the workflow. Suggestion: Improve template selection by allowing longer and clearer visibility of template titles, or by introducing alternative views such as expanded lists, tooltips, or previews to help users choose the correct template more efficiently.
