I greatly appreciate using ClickUp, especially the Gantt chart feature, which is invaluable for visualizing project timelines. However, I've encountered situations where, while establishing dependencies between tasks on the Gantt chart, I unintentionally alter a task's duration due to mouse interactions. For instance, when setting a dependency from Task A to Task B, I might accidentally drag Task A's bar, inadvertently changing its start or end date. To mitigate such issues, it would be immensely helpful to have a feature that temporarily locks a task's duration on the Gantt chart. Specifically, this would involve fixing the start and end dates of tasks to prevent unintentional modifications during dependency setups or view adjustments. Moreover, the ability to toggle this lock feature using a keyboard shortcut would significantly enhance workflow efficiency. For example, implementing Cmd + L for Mac users and Ctrl + L for Windows users could be effective combinations. ClickUp stands out as an exceptional tool that combines robust functionality with intuitive design, making it indispensable in our daily operations. I sincerely appreciate the continuous efforts and innovations of the development team. I hope you will consider adding this feature. Thank you for your attention and support.
