Nice to have features for the future of the ClickUp Gantt Chart

Track actual completion vs planned in gantt view.

It would be great if tasks could be grouped (and collapsed) in a Gantt view the way they can be in a list view. This would be particularly useful for custom fields. For example if you have a custom dropdown field for region, period, customer, product, program, etc. it would be great to be able to see all tasks with each dropdown field value grouped together.

Need options for subtasks. This is currently a big blocker. 🔴 Option of if they should they show at all. Should they show under parent task or separately? (Same settings as per List view). Should filters affect subtasks? Right now, subtasks that don't match a filter show even if their parent is filtered out. Yes, there is a use-case for that, but there is no way to stop them showing if you don't want them to. And the opposite is true - if a filter is filtering out a subtask, there is no option to show the subtask anyway under a parent task that does NOT match the filter. These are issues for List view, too. We just need a simple toggle for "apply filters to subtasks". "Subtasks from other lists" does not work well. If you have a subtask in a parent task in the current list, which is also in another list, this option goes haywire and doesn't know whether to display it under the parent task or separately. Again, I am sure some of these used to be options.

I have 10 folders, 30 lists and 100 tasks. When I am on the workspace's gantt chart displaying a full overview of my department and I create any kind of filter (eg: assignee, priority, tags), it is supposed to display only the filtered tasks with their corresponding parents. Instead, Clickup shows every single Folder and List with their major timeline (but with no tasks inside) and it's really impossible to focus the analysis on whats is really important because there is lot of garbage on the screen. It makes the filter almost unusable.

Many times when scheduling I need two tasks to finish at the same time and want to know the required start dates. I would suggest that additional dependency options other than "blocks" or "is blocking" like Start/Start Start/Finish Finish/Finish and +/- days modifiers are needed.

Allow the Gantt view to span full-screen since a lot of scrolling on even regular 15" laptop screens gets cumbersome.

The Gantt view doesn't take the aggregated time estimation of the subtasks. I'd like to work on a clean representation, hidding subtasks (but even wuthout doing that), dragging my 1000H taks just put it in 1day slot. I'd hope the full perdiod can be represented, from the starting date I'm putting and consedering the estimation time, the expected day the task will end.

Some task names can be long - gantt view would be better if you cld wrap text that column :)

It would be nice to be able to edit the settings as pageformat, timerange etc. when exporting a Gantt-chart as PDF.
