Curious that there has been such demand for this but very little movement. I wonder if it would require a larger overhaul of their system in some way because at first glance it seems like a lower effort/ high yield (user satisfaction) update. I just recently had to apply my template change to 50 lists manually. I was not a happy camper. I fear for scale within a larger team environment without this ability. Would greatly appreciate it if the team could bump this up on the roadmap. So many new features have been added that are great, backfilling this usability would be a huge help. Surprisingly it comes up often.

I'm evaluating ClickUp as a height.app replacement. Tracking deliverables is critical to our work. If another product can do this better, you're likely to lose the sale. Which is a shame, because I rather like ClickUp. Per the other user's comments, your customers have been begging, begging! for 5 years for this simple productivity enhancement. I've had some good experience with the ClickUp sales team. But if this is how they do business, ignoring their customers, I don't know that I want my business here. We do not have a PM here, so it's engineers doing their own PM work. This tool should make my life easier, not become another chore.

That is not a feature, it should be an absolute standard.

The fact that this lame version was actually released is all you need to know about the quality of CU's software dev. practices, not to mention their disrespect for their customers. The is actually practically no point at all to using templates. I keep running into issues like these that make me say, "How could these guys release such crappy code??" Jordan Reeve is right. Other PMs do this. After five years, it's time to look.

Yes this is a major feature that is needed to save time during onboarding and build out making the product more easily implemented and adaptable.

Very important - please build out

5 Years of waiting on this... I'm bamboozled as to why this is not a standard thing. All I want to do is move a task from a research list into it's own list and apply a template when criteria are met. Every other PM software can do this?

I would like to be able to do this automatically by using a real ClickUp template: Each time I update a Folder Template, I get the option to apply the changes to already existing Folder that follow that Folder Template. As a workaround, I would like to be able to duplicate Tasks (or Lists) to several targets at once. Currently, it is possible to duplicate a Task into one target List (1 to 1). I would like an option to duplicate 1 to n (1 Task duplicated n times into n Lists).

What I hope we get when this gets done
- Apply List template to existing list
- Apply List template when creating list via automation
- Set default list template for all lists within a folder
