Would love to have the option to deactivate guests as to remove them from our plan if we're no longer working them without deleting the account Seasonal contractors etc we can deactivate there account they can't login and doesn't work towards quote unless they are reactivated

This allows a task to be created without prior notice to the guest and tasks can be assigned directly without waiting for the guest to accept the invitation.

I enjoy the layout of clickup for the most part - but I am the project manager. For my teams and for "guests" I would hope to either turn off many of the features or have a simpler interface for them to be able to navigate. This tool may be too overwhelming for them to use bc of how it looks now.

If a guest clicks “shared with me,” there are 3 default views (list, board, calendar) and I think this may confuse the guest. I would like the guest to access only the folder and list level views. I think that It is not necessary for the guest to have another level of views. Maybe when the guest clicks “Shared with me” the only thing that should happen should be opening the menu to actually show the shared items.

I'd love to see a way to make a very easy way for each user/guest to mark their approval on a task. This would be particularly useful for reviewing designs with clients. While this can be done with custom statuses, that doesn't give the option for getting multiple people's approvals. I get the suggestion of assigning comments and asking for them to be resolved, but that's an obscure way to do this as opposed to a big, obvious, shiny "Approve" button that cant' be missed. This would be even better if there were multiple, or even customizable, options, such as: • Approved • Approved with Changes • Rejected (or Please Revised) • Finished Commenting Integrating this with the new Proofing feature would be great too, though that works on the attachment level, and what I'm suggesting would be on the task level. If this were implemented on each attachment to a task (and if there were multiple attachments) it would be great if the approval status were very obvious visually on the task view. • A

Since we cannot share spaces with guests, they also can't see the space views. I have several guests that have access to multiple folders. I would like to be able to create a space view that I can share with them so they can view tasks across the entire space.

With the recent change to classify Guests accounts that use the company domain as limited members that attract a full subscription cost our membership cost has gone up significantly (more than doubled). This is making Clickup unattractive as a project management tool for our organisation. We have a few core project teams (software development, corporate projects, sales projects) with approximately 16 to 20 users managing projects so they are the active users. Other staff (approx 120) do not need to use Clickup regularly. However the project team may ask them from time to time to comment on a specific task like to check a design, verify a feature, etc. To date we have used our nominated guest accounts to (temporarily) add those users so they can comment. Most of these guest users would only use click up 1 to 4 times per month to comment on 1 or 2 tasks. If the project teams loses this abilty to briefly tag our "internal guest" users to comment on a task then the tool becomes a lot less practical and our project teams would be forced back into using MS teams and MS Planner since all our O365 users can comment. We would very much prefer to use Clickup though, so for Clickup to be an effective project management tool for larger organisations I suggest Clickup implements a Limited member license that if with read only access (this exists) and give them the ability to only comment on existing tasks - it would be ok if they can not change task in any other way (i.e. not update descriptions, create tasks, change status, etc. etc) Only read/review the tasks and attachments and comment on the task.

As a workspace admin, I often collaborate with guests who are assigned to multiple tasks and mentioned in various comments. Currently, if a guest needs to change the email address associated with their ClickUp account, they must create a new account and be re-invited to the workspace. This process is very inconvenient because: All previous task assignments, comments, and mentions are lost or disconnected from the new account. It requires manual reassignment of tasks and updating of mentions, which is time-consuming and error-prone. I am requesting a feature that allows guests (and ideally all users) to update the email address associated with their ClickUp account without losing their assignments, mentions, or history. This would greatly improve the user experience for both guests and workspace admins, and help maintain continuity in project collaboration. Thank you for considering this improvement!

I tried to find an open request to address this - the closest one had been addressed and completed...but not to the degree I am requesting. The ability to review files and comment, even with the latest update, is still a bit basic. Our marketing team (at minimum) needs the ability to view versions side by side, have comments assigned, AND a better way to markup PDFs, Images, Video, Audio than simply dropping a dot somewhere on the file. We need the ability to draw arrows, lines, boxes, AND select specific text (mostly in PDFs). A dot dropped in a general location is causing confusion as the commenter can be as precise as needed. Previous posts referenced the review/proofing tool in Wrike. Workfront is another I've used that was very good. We also need to be able to invite guest reviewers - I'm too new to ClickUp to fully know if you would just add a guest to a task to get feedback...but then we only have so many guest licenses, they have to know how to navigate from task to review the file, etc. This is another place where Wrike actually does a good job.

Understand that the "guest" feature should not be abused. But the current limitations for allowed guest editors are too steep. Let guests sign-up for Clickup themselves so they don't count towards the inviting member's allowance total. Introduce the option to purchase additional guest seats without having to buy a whole new unnecessary member license. Create additional unlimited member tiers that can edit tasks and instead reduce other full member features for those.
