Feature Requests

As refugees from Basecamp 2, one feature that I've not seen in action in ClickUp that we'll miss is the ability to see all files for a given project in one place—and, indeed, all files across all projects https://2.basecamp-help.com/article/208-files I believe a good place to initiate this view would be would be a 4th view button to the right of BOARD. (Please excuse the crudity of this model.) Files for a given list, space, team would be viewable depending on what level a user is situated. Being able to click on these files and go to the discussion(s) in which they're attached would also be fantastic. Indeed, using search or looking for the attachment icon on tasks is simple enough, but viewing all the "things" and starting there is a really powerful way to get users to get their bearings, especially if you're coming into a project that's been going on for awhile. Hopefully, this isn't a duplicate request. I'll take my answer off the air.

[from support] Would like the ability to create small folders for attachments within a task

I cannot transform any of my boards into pdf anymore. I don't know why it stopped working and there's nowhere to fix it. Very frustrating

We are not utilizing the file attachment as much as possible because of the effort to download individual files. Prior to archiving we want to save certain files in a common document repository. A bulk/mass download from a folder or list would help.

Due to the large number of attachments that get attached when using the Email feature, the attachments section quickly gets overwhelmed with images from signatures, and important documents from respondents. This section really needs the standard methods to search, select, and sort through files. This section needs: Ability to select multiple attachments at once via individually click on this and by shift clicking to select many in one go. The ability to create at least 1 level of folders. And the ability to move attachments into these folders. Once files are selected, there needs to be options for what you can do with them such as: Move to a different task, delete, move into a folder. There needs to be the ability to search your attachments. Search by name, file type, size, sender (in the case of email attachments), author, etc.

I'm having a questions about the OneDrive integration. What happens if I attach a file via OneDrive integration and the file will be moved or renamed in OneDrive?

When one task has many files attached, it'd be great to be able to organize them by category/folder/etc. for easy sorting within the task.

It would be great to have a way to bulk select attachments so we can easily delete the ones we don't need. Example of multiple repeated attachments that are not needed, but we have to manually select each one to delete them at this point.

It would be super useful to be able to add tags to attachments, and to be able to view attachments independently of the tasks to which they are attached (making file/document management easier). Our use case is when spaces are for an instance of a project or event that is repeatable (e.g. annual conference). Managing attachments by task means they disappear from easy view as tasks are completed. If we can see them all in one place with tags, it's easier to find key documents from year to year (or even within a year for that matter).
