Feature Requests

I have a list with several views and there is only one that I want to share with a colleague which is filtered with a certain category, but who does not have access to the rest of the views. I need the ability to share one or all of the views in a list to a colleague, giving me the possibility that as a reader, I can't remove the filter from that view that I'm sharing with them.

Current behavior requires users to have edit Custom Fields permission in order to add an existing Custom Field to a List. This creates a conflict. Granting that permission allows users to modify the field configuration globally, which can affect all Spaces, Folders, and Lists that use the same field. Requested enhancement. Introduce a separate permission that allows users to: • Add an existing, globally managed Custom Field to a List Without allowing them to: • Edit the field configuration • Change dropdown options This would enable centralized governance of global Custom Fields while allowing operational teams to apply and use them where needed. This distinction between “use” and “manage” would significantly improve control and scalability for larger Workspaces.

We need to give authorization to see "All Timesheets" to a new customized role and not only to Admin.

We put in some clients to score and approve deliveries we made on ClickUp, but it's a bad thing for the customer to see the team's internal feedback throughout the previous process. It would be great at the permission level to grant that a user can see the task, description, COMMENT, but not view other comments.

I would like to suggest, to add the possibility to hide estimates and tracked time from other users in a more granular way. At the moment it is just possible to activate or deactivate this. Means, all users can see tracked time of other users and estimates of all tasks, if sharing is set on a higher level than tasks. As it is senseful to share at a project level in many cases, it is not always good to show all times and estimates of other tasks in this projects, especially, if there are mostly freelancers working in projects, like in our case. I would prefer to set estimates in the task individually for people with the possibility to hide this and also tracked time from others, except the e. g. the project admin ...

This request probably impacts many things in ClickUp, but the benefits of it are big as well. ClickUp needs more robust permissions. My proposal is divided into 3 main aspects: More granular permissions: We need more granular permissions such as: Edit location names, approvals (timesheets, users, changes to settings, etc...), Add new users, etc... For example: User A needs to approve only. User B Needs to approve and add new Users. User C needs to add new users only. With this feature I would need to create only 2 custom roles instead of 3 (one for each specific need) Access by role in locations: Ability to add or share with (Locations, Custom Fields, etc.) a role instead of Teams or individual users

It would be great if we could limit the ability for users to duplicate or create folders if they have a certain custom role. Currently there are no customizable features related to folders.

More control over who can delete and what can be deleted.

This feature would help us restrict some staff from editing the task descriptions and other fields while reading task briefs. I requested this because there is no way to track time with Comment only permissions. With Edit permissions, the users can still edit task descriptions. This is a big problem in our workspace because we don't want someone accidentally editing the task descriptions as well as the other fields.

Can there be an additional permission setting like "admin" where that person is able to delete/adjust settings for a list and change "edit" to where they can add tasks & edit things without being able to delete the list?
