Hi again guys, I'd like to request a multi-level set up for tags. Even just a parent - child two-level set up would be great. I think this would add an untold extra dimension to categorizing in ClickUp. With your focus on Space/Project/list/task/subtask, there is kind of a "forced" need to very granularly categorize tasks when they come into Clickup. My team has been facing a lot of friction do deal with that cognitive effort when creating tasks. Tags on the other hand are very simple, and transcend this hierarchy because you can use them for a simple categorization. For example, a bug comes up and you tag it "hotfix" without the need to figure out not only which project, but which list it belongs too. Tags are so useful that we tend to over-proliferate them at times. I was evaluating Hive a lot before moving to you guys, and this was the first time I saw this. Simply when adding a tag, you can add a parent tag, and report on both set ups - the parent, or the child. The flexibility is gained as you would then have the ability to categorize work on a hierarchical basis on multiple dimensions. Currently you can only do this on projects. We've found this challenging as we struggle to define what is a project - does it have an end date, or not? For example, a project "Social marketing" with a list for FB, another for twitter, etc. should not really have a start and end as this goes on forever. But if I had tags that could have hierarchies, I could set this up: parent: Social marketing, child: twitter; child: facebook. Then I can track this work for the life of my company really, as I'll be doing it forever in all likelihood. Projects in this set up could be reserved for work that starts and ends, which is the way a lot of people think of "Projects." Hoping you guys can get this little fix in place soon as tags in general are a great feature!
