When you create a task that repeats as a new task, it does not maintain the task type you assigned it.

When a task repeats, it should be able to keep relationships just like we can select whether or not to keep custom fields.

It would be great to be able to schedule a recurring task based on business days. For example - a task that needs to be completed on the first business day of each month.

Would be amazing to be able to have something like "My Recurring Task #1" increment to "My Recurring Task #2" on the next iteration. This could maybe be achieved through variables. If the recurring task's name contains a "#", it will automatically increment it. Thanks!

I would like to be able to schedule a recurring task x days before or after a specific DAY each month. For example, I need a task performed on the Friday after the second Tuesday each month. The second Friday, the closest current option, does not always occur after the second Tuesday, which is highly problematic. If I could schedule this task for 3 days after the second Tuesday, that would achieve my goal. The attached image shows another service in which this ability exists.

It would be perfect if due date of a recurring task can be set up as first / last workday of each month. In TickTick there is the option for workday and this makes the recurring schedule very flexible.

You should have a setting to auto adopt parent fields when subtasks are created. With many subtasks this makes it a lot of manual process to add the field content every time you create a subtask.

In this post, I am discussing how to find completed and incomplete or balance recurrences in a recurring task. For example, I have a task set to recur periodically 1 day after completion and repeat 30 times. How do I find out how many repetitions are completed and how many are left? Currently, the only option available is to see this in a table in "Automations" as shared in the attached screenshot. This table displays several vital information, but this table is not interactive. We cannot sort the table or search for a particular task. There is no option to search for a specific recurring task. If we are interested in a particular recurring task we must scroll down. Another limitation is this table displays only 100 recent recurring tasks. If scrolled to find a task, it is uncertain whether the specific task is on the list. This all is a herculean & time-consuming task. I would like to have the option to sort the above table with column headers. Second, an option to search for any task by the task name or task ID is also available not limited to 100 recent recurrences. Lastly, but the most important is the ability to see the completed recurrences in the task itself when opened.
