When we're trying to make views that are specific and useful for a particular group of users (in the example artists) we can't use our project, which is a big template created in chronological order of the tasks that need to be completed to, display subtasks when they are displayed as "expanded". The only way to make them appear is to display subtasks as separate tasks, but that completely breaks our project view and makes it much less interesting for the project manager and the users. In the images below you can see our set up with two of the tasks displaying all of their subtasks in the "expanded" display mode. Then you can see what happens when I apply a filter, they all disappear. In the third image you can see the same view with the Subtasks displayed as separate tasks, but it's less useful as you no longer see the hierarchy of the tasks.

In list view (and others relevant views), allow filter to apply separately to: only tasks/only subtasks/both

I would like to be able to group tasks by start date as well as due date. Thx

Each of our clients has a List in ClickUp. We assign a Project Manager as the 'Owner' of the list. It would be helpful to be able to filter by 'Owner' to see all the clients a particular PM is responsible for. It would also make updating the 'Owner' on multiple Lists at a time much easier.

Extend the filter functionality to support tasks which have personal priority, are my personal priority do not have personal priority. (are lineup, are not lineup)

Would be handy to be able to sort by Custom Task ID in list view.

When searching for a task ("Search tasks..." field in the top-left corner of most views) it should allow to search for a specific task id - otherwise the task id is not useful (users should not be dealing with url parts).

Currently if one task was assigned to multiple assignee, this group of assignee will become an "assignee" to show with other single assignee, this is good for tasks, however this is not good to see the task load for each assignee, I would like to have a option to group by only single assignee, even some of the assignee may have the same task.

When trying to create a filter that makes sense for our backlog, we're having a hard time. Our backlog is anything that was created "before 8 weeks ago" and is not in x status'. This is currently not achievable with ClickUp Dashboard filters, and it should be. We can do a "Custom Period" which is great, but it's still not what we are looking for and doesn't accomplish what we want. We don't want a static period, we want it to be rolling, but we want the "Before" filter. The existing rolling date options are "within" the rolling date range, which isn't helpful either. Please help ClickUp!

Currently, when using "list" views with custom columns for task statuses (e.g., "TO DO", "IN PROGRESS", "TO REVIEW", etc.), I encounter limitations with the filtering system. I would like to be able to filter not only tasks explicitly marked as "TO REVIEW" but also to display parent tasks when their child tasks match the selected filtering criterion. For example, if a child task is in "TO REVIEW" status, the parent task should also appear in the filtered list, even if its own status is not "TO REVIEW". This feature would enable better visibility and management of dependencies in projects, particularly those with complex hierarchical structures. It would help teams to more effectively track projects without missing crucial information on interdependent tasks. Would it be possible to consider adding this advanced filtering capability in a future update? I am confident that many users would find this extremely useful for their daily workflows.
