Group by single item (labels, assignee, tags, etc.)

Currently if one task was assigned to multiple assignee, this group of assignee will become an "assignee" to show with other single assignee, this is good for tasks, however this is not good to see the task load for each assignee, I would like to have a option to group by only single assignee, even some of the assignee may have the same task.

We are also struggling with this. We use the timeline view to visualise allocation of resources within projects and R&D to certain locations. However, when one project needs multiple locations, we now have the combination showing, but the single equipment is still showing as empty/available. This doesn't help our project and resource planning at all.

Any updates? :(

Michael Van Doorn would love to see this come out soon. In my current use case I'm managing campaigns and applying a custom tag field called locations. I'd like to be able to have the timeline view breakout each individual location tag rather than each unique combination of locations. This would allow us to show ownership and C suite leadership what's happening in each market very easily.

Is there any update on this? Grouping by every unique combination of labels is unhelpful. Should be able to toggle on or off.

Would love to see this come as soon as possible! Would be very helpful

Michael Van Doorn Please also apply this feature to the new groupings such as in relationships. 🙏

It's insane that this hasn't been implemented yet. Is there an update or any known workarounds for this?

Hey Michael Van Doorn - just wondering if there’s been any update on this request as it's been sitting in ClickUp’s backlog for years now?
It's honestly getting really frustrating – when grouping by multiple assets, it's almost impossible to see what tasks sit under each label. I have no clear view of what's happening for each property individually, and it's making task management way harder than it should be.
The screenshot I’ve attached is just a small portion of the list, but it gives an idea of how unclear things get. When you’re working across 20 - 30 sites (as I do), it just doesn't work - and dropdowns aren't an option.
Would love to know if there’s been any progress or workarounds people are using?

Hey, Gary Way:
We've got this slotted for an upcoming quarter and have support for assignee in List view working internally (which will look to ship sooner than the entire suite but won't forget about the rest!).

This is a pretty basic need for us - we assign group tasks all the time. I want to be able to group by Assignee and have all the tasks for one person (regardless if they are solo or group tasks) to show up together so I know what that person's schedule is like.
"Filter" already has this functionality - not sure why "Group" doesn't?
