Group by single item (labels, assignee, tags, etc.)

Currently if one task was assigned to multiple assignee, this group of assignee will become an "assignee" to show with other single assignee, this is good for tasks, however this is not good to see the task load for each assignee, I would like to have a option to group by only single assignee, even some of the assignee may have the same task.

Hey everyone,
We have some good news! We're actively building this now, and are ironing out some of the final issues that we've discovered in our testing environment. I will drop a beta sign-up sheet soon, so you can get early access to this feature.
I'll provide an additional update once we are ready to accept beta testers. I hope y'all are as excited about this as I am, because It will finally let us group things by individual assignees, tags, and labels!
If these version 1 features do not meet your use case, please fill out the survey we posted previously below! This will help us determine what V2 will look like in the future.
Want to make sure we are meeting your usecase in future iterations? You can still provide feedback at the link below:
(Don't worry, I made the survey short!)

Native RACI Framework & Individual Completion Tracking to Eliminate Subtask Clutter
Short Description:
Implement a "Collective Task" mode where a single task can track individual completion states for multiple assignees. This feature would allow one Accountable owner to oversee the work while many Responsible assignees mark their part as complete independently, without closing the task for others. The Problem (User Story):
As a Manager, I often need a large group (e.g., 1,000 employees) to perform a single micro-action, such as "Read and Acknowledge New Security Training."Current Limitation:
ClickUp treats task status as a global state. If I assign 1,000 people to one task, the first person to click "Complete" closes the task for everyone else, losing all tracking for the remaining 999 assignees.Inefficient Workaround:
Currently, users must create hundreds of individual subtasks to track who has finished. This causes "subtask explosion," making dashboards messy and administrative oversight nearly impossible.Continue below >>>

The Solution:
RACI-Based Collective Execution Instead of forcing subtasks, allow a single task record to manage multiple individual assignments through a structured RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) framework.- Individual Completion Tracking (The "Responsible" Role):
Allow multiple users to be designated as Responsible (R).
Each "Responsible" user gets a personal "Complete My Part" button in their task view.
Marking their individual part as complete does not move the main task to a "Closed" status.
Progress UI: The task card displays a clear progress bar (e.g., "450/999 Completed") and identifies who has yet to finish.
- Native Accountable Role (The "Accountable" Owner):
Designate exactly one user as Accountable (A).
Only the "Accountable" owner has the permission to change the overall task status from "WIP" to "Closed" or "Archived."
To maintain a clean matrix, if a user is moved to the "Accountable" role, they are automatically removed from the "Responsible" list to avoid double-counting their progress.
- Automated Targeted Reminders:
Enable automated "Nudges" and overdue notifications that target only the assignees in the "Responsible" group who have not yet marked their part as complete.
Value Proposition:
By decoupling "Individual Completion" from "Global Task Status," ClickUp can support enterprise-scale compliance, voting, and collective actions within a single, clean task record. This eliminates the need for thousands of redundant subtasks and provides managers with an instant, accurate report on total team progress. There is also a dedicate request here, please vote https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/individual-task-completion

I found this interesting; it would help assign tasks to "Departments." I have a department that operates 24 hours a day, and I have 4 people working in it on a rotating basis. Currently, I'm forced to have a single account because it would be complicated to assign all the department's employees, and the task would get lost. Somehow, having a single account for the department makes me lose some control over who performed a particular task; I have to refer to the schedule to know who was on duty at that time.
This way, I can assign tasks to a Work Group, without necessarily assigning them to a specific person, and by performing operations on the tasks, adding comments, etc., I would have better control in both directions.

Group by assignee/people field - just on single assignees/people
Helen Gamage
When multiple people are assigned group by assignee or a people field gives you lots of odd groupings of all teh different people. It would be much more useful to just group by individual even if that meant some tasks are duplicated under more than 1 grouping

This was added 5 years ago. Such a basic function that keeps teams from using ClickUp the best way possible. Any updates Max Weiten?
Max Weiten
Paul Zürcher: I am extremely happy to announce that our first iteration of this feature is in development. It will include tags, labels, and assignees as our first version, with additional multi-select fields coming as a second iteration! :D
If this does not meet your criteria, please don't hesitate to reach out; I'd love to see what your usecase is for this feature.

Max Weiten When are we getting "Group By" Multiples????? Example: group by Status first... then by Assignee second...

I have read all the notes here and I have a very similiar issue with grouping vacant properties according to what letting agency they were sent to, as when I send the same Flat to 2 agents and I add the Letting agents via relationship field then when I group it it comes up seperatly and doesn't get added to the letting agent group for single sites

excellent news Max Weiten. what kind of timeline could be expected?
Max Weiten
Michael: I've got good news; we're building it now! It's difficult to give a concrete timeline, but we are already able to use this feature in our testing environment, and are ironing out the final details now. I will follow up with a beta link for anyone who'd like to have a first look at this feature soon!

Some of my tasks has two or more labels.
Example: The labels 'House' and 'Sport'
In the kanban board I have gouped the tasks by the custom field with the labels.
I would like the tasks that has both House and Sport to show up in both columns.
As it is now my kanban view has 3 columns:
[House sport] [House] [Sport]
The tasks that has both House and sport as labels show up in the column [House sport] and does not show up in [House] or [Sport] 😵💫
I would like the task to show up in both [House] and [Sport] (I don't care if it shows up in [House Sport]
