And to a certain extent to say on which days of the week it could happen : Not on week-end is the most common, but could be in the contrary, only on week-ends. Or it could be set on wednseday or thursday...

Adding in my vote. I help multiple clients with their task management set up and optimization and this is the single biggest struggle that keeps teams from fully utilizing clickup. Especially accounting and bookkeeping clients, but multiple industries require date-specific recurring tasks that need to take business days into consideration.

Yes, Payroll and accounting tasks are often hard to set recurring tasks in the system.

For example, if the pay dates are the 15th and last day of the month, and payroll is due 2 days before, the 2 days before would be the recurring task due date (the 13th).

And it needs to ignore/skip weekends; so if the 15th is a Saturday, the pay date is actually Friday the 14th, and therefore the Due date for that particular instance is Wednesday the 11th.

Same idea for last day of the month, which can vary as the 28th, 30th, or 31st, and would need to not count weekends, and therefore there the due date of 2 days before would vary.

We are a bookkeeping company and we use ClickUp to make sure our tasks are finished for each of our clients regularly. We desperately need the ability to use a skip weekends feature so that our monthly tasks aren't scheduled for the weekends. We are growing and will be adding employees soon so this will become even more important for us as we have to manage more users!

i'd love this feature as well, to be applied to all recurrence types though. in my case i specifically need it for payroll tasks that need to happen on the first weekday of the month. i can only set monthly tasks for the 1st of the month, which sometimes lands on a weekend. so it would be nice to be able to set it to skip the weekend and bump it to the next weekday, OR adding a separate option in the Custom recurrence options to choose "first weekday".
