Recurring Yearly/Annual Tasks by Weekday Interval (e.g., “3rd Monday of January”)

Hi ClickUp Team,
I hope you’re doing well! I wanted to suggest a feature enhancement for recurring annual tasks.
Currently, ClickUp only allows annual tasks to repeat by specific dates, but not by weekday intervals within a specific month for the yearly task (e.g., the 3rd Monday or 4th Thursday of January, February, etc.) even under the Custom Settings. This makes it difficult to automate tracking for federal holidays and long weekends, which don’t fall on the same calendar date each year.
For example, MLK Jr. Day always falls on the 3rd Monday of January, but the exact date changes annually. Right now, we have to manually update each holiday’s date every year, which is time-consuming and easy to overlook.
Having the ability to set recurring tasks by weekday interval (e.g., “3rd Monday of January,” “last Thursday of November,” etc.) would make holiday scheduling and planning much smoother on a yearly basis.
Thanks so much for considering this improvement — it would be a huge help for our team!
Warmly,
Sarah Aronson

FWIW you can already do this. Allzya have to do is recur it every 12mo. I have all our company vaca days set up this way.
Now, on the other hand CNY... 🫨

Noted! Thank you for sharing. We have some design updates to recurring tasks that we're working on and will consider these as well.

Zach - ClickUp if it's not already something being considered, I'd absolutely love to see the option to edit "only this instance" or "all instances" for recurring tasks. It would streamline planning significantly.

💯 Natalie Williams, unfortunately this functionality isn't on the roadmap..
Or maybe it still is?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Michael I think because it gets described in so many ways there have been a lot of requests that never gained enough traction to be noticed. It's a bit mind-boggling that basic scheduling functions like this aren't available.

Yes, please. This is so logical; it feels like an oversight that it wasn't built this way to begin with.
