Problem Statement: Currently, ClickUp hides the year in timestamps for comments and attached files (showing only day/month or relative times like "Oct 12"). For teams with multi-year historical data, this creates severe confusion and ambiguity during audits, compliance checks, and project tracking. Why this matters: Without full year visibility, it is impossible to determine at a glance whether a comment, approval, or attached document belongs to 2022, 2024, or 2026. This forces users into manual workaround steps just to confirm basic chronological order. Proposed Solution: Show the complete date format including the year (e.g., MMM DD, YYYY — Oct 12, 2024) across all comment history, activity logs, and file attachment metadata, or add a workspace-wide setting to toggle full dates ON. Impact: This affects every ClickUp user working with tasks or files older than 12 months: Universal Clarity: Eliminates guesswork for anyone reviewing past notes, historical decisions, or old attachments. Data Integrity: Accurate time-tracking and clear dates are fundamental for any workspace, regardless of team size or industry. Zero Friction: Prevents unnecessary manual steps to verify basic timeline context.

When using the Email ClickApp, sent emails and their threads in the task activity section take up significant vertical space. Please add an option (ideally the default) to show sent emails collapsed, with just the subject/recipient visible, expandable on click. This would keep activity readable on tasks with heavy email traffic (e.g. recruitment, client-facing workflows).

The current Inbox interaction is inconsistent and unnecessarily confusing. When a notification is selected, its content may expand inline within the notification list. If the notification relates to a task, the task can also open in a panel on the right. In some cases—such as a Chat mention—the same information is effectively displayed both inline and in the right-hand panel. This creates two problems: It is not always clear where the notification’s relevant content will appear. Displaying the content inline and in the right-hand panel is often redundant and uses valuable screen space. Suggested improvement Adopt a consistent two-pane layout: Left pane: Keep notifications as a stable, compact list. Right pane: Display the context and details of the selected notification. The right pane should open directly to the relevant location—for example: The applicable task comment or task activity thread The relevant Chat thread The comment, mention, assignment or status change that triggered the notification This would make Inbox review faster and more predictable. Users could move through notifications from a stable list on the left while viewing and responding to each item in a consistent location on the right. Ideally, inline expansion could either be removed or retained as an optional user preference. The key improvement is that selecting a notification should produce one clear, consistent detail view rather than varying between inline expansion, a right-hand panel, or both.

I would like to request the ability to add custom fields to user profiles in ClickUp, in addition to the standard email address. For example, it would be extremely helpful for our organization to include a business phone number directly in the profile. This would allow team members to quickly find the best way to contact each other, which is crucial for efficient communication and urgent situations. Additionally, it would be valuable to have the option to add a custom URL field, such as a link to a personal “bio page” or employee profile created in ClickUp. This page could contain all important information about the employee, their responsibilities, and other relevant details. Allowing organizations to define custom fields in user profiles would make ClickUp much more flexible and better suited to different company needs. It would also improve internal collaboration and make it easier to find the right person for specific topics or projects.

Work Schedules are great but what we really need is the ability to set holiday calendars for entire teams or a new schedule for a person.

Main task progress should be cumulative total of subtask rollup (similar to time rollup)

There is no way to ask the API "which comments were posted in this date range". Comments can only be reached by walking tasks one at a time and filtering client side. We run a daily review across one folder of roughly 200 open tasks. To answer "what was discussed yesterday" we enumerate 44 tasks and make between 250 and 350 comment calls every morning, then discard almost all of it. The answer we want is usually 30 to 40 comments. Any one of the following would solve it: A date_from and date_to filter on the get task comments endpoint. A workspace-level or list-level recent comments endpoint accepting a date range. comment added as an asset type in search, with a date filter.

From support ticket: Would like to have all number custom fields rollup within subtasks to the parent task

Need ability to restrict who can and cannot see and who can and cannot change Automations. Automations should still be able to run when conditions are satisfied, but their existence should be made invisible to selected users or roles if/when necessary.

Currently the only way to disable AI is through ClickApps via Admin. This disables it for the entire team. I just want to remove this garbage from my own personal profile without impacting anyone else's workflow.
