I would like to be able to import details about Subtasks via CSV, such as Time estimates, Custom field values, Checklists, etc. There is no way to bulk update this info in subtasks so being able to do so via CSV is critical to be able to take advantage of those additional details

Today I’m having a terrible experience with ClickUp — honestly, the worst so far. I don’t know if it’s even worth paying for a tool that limits such basic features just to push users into upgrades, making the overall experience frustrating and disappointing. Here’s what happened: I import a document — fine. I try to import a second page, and suddenly the fields are not available to select for mapping. I proceed anyway, then try a simple copy (Ctrl + C / Ctrl + V) to another column — not possible. I go to the field manager, see the “merge fields” option, but it’s locked behind an upgrade. Okay, I get it, it’s a paid feature. I rebuild all fields inside a task type just to make them appear in the list during import. I import again — still nothing. After 6 failed attempts, I give up and move everything to Google Sheets. All I wanted was to have my information centralized in one place so I could rely more on ClickUp. But it’s impossible. All this, just because simple copy-and-paste is not allowed. And these were only some of the many workarounds I tried. But since ClickUp support never really listens (it feels like responses are just scripted keyword-based templates), I won’t even waste more of my time explaining further. I don’t even want a resolution anymore. I’ve given up. This is just a very poor user experience.

From support ticket: I wish I could make the system understand that a column with 0 or 1 could be interpreted as a checkbox with 1 meaning checked. This is common if you're importing from a database.

I would love the ability to avoid importing Closed tasks from Jira. This way I don't need to import my entire database.

Hi, great feature can be ability to export/backup with schedule all clickup data on external server (scp, gdrive, amazon etc.) How You see that?

Currently, it's not possible to import geolocated addresses into Clickup. As someone who frequently imports large databases of addresses (hundreds or more), it can be quite tedious and painful to copy every address to a geolocation custom field. It would be extremely helpful if Clickup could allow us to import geolocated addresses directly, which would save a lot of effort and the time could be spent on more important tasks.

The "Import from Slack" feature doesn't really hold much value for us if it can't import into actual ClickUp Chats. Importing as a list is quite pointless and very difficult to continue conversations as it's completely separate from Chat. Will the "Import from Slack" feature soon allow for Slack channels to be imported to a selected ClickUp chat (instead of as a list)?

Description: Add the ability to bulk upload an Excel spreadsheet to update existing tasks with additional information (e.g., email addresses, phone numbers, status notes) without creating duplicate tasks. Key Requirements: Match existing tasks by unique ID or title. Update only the specified fields from the spreadsheet. Prevent creation of new tasks unless explicitly intended. Allow updates to multiple fields and custom fields at once. Maintain full change history for audit tracking. Value & Impact: This feature would greatly improve efficiency by enabling quick updates to many tasks simultaneously. It would save time, reduce manual data entry, and help maintain accuracy in contact information, status updates, and other critical task details. Example Use Case: When multiple tasks require adding a missing email address or phone number, users can prepare a single Excel file with the updates and bulk apply them in one step, avoiding the need to open and edit each task individually.
