Feature Requests

I use Everything to see all of my tasks, so I'd like Personal List to be included in it. Right now I can only see it on Home. :)

The ability to set custom hours to any day that you have the task planned for. e.g. 6,6,4,0,8 Original description: For now if I have a task with estimate 27h Click up will divide it equally for all days. So if I think this task will take me 4 days it will be divided 6:45 for each day. This is wrong approach because most likely I will be working 3 full days (8hours each) and rest 3 hours on 4th day. So I wish to change how workload is divided throughout a chosen period. (I have copied Simonas' description from https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/workload-2 )

It would be super helpful for our team if we could sort all tasks across all projects by "status" and have them appear in the order our of our status-flow. It's currently possible to sort by status in list view, but instead of sorting in order of your status pipeline (as they would be in board view, or everywhere else), the list is confusingly sorted alphabetically by names of statuses. This means that if your workflow order is INFO > BACKLOG > SPRING PLANNING > CURRENT SPRINT > QR sorting them by status in list view will display them out of order, like this: BACKLOG > CURRENT SPRINT > INFO > QR > SPRINT PLANNING

I've noticed that a lot of the time when I view a board, I have to separately press on each task to have it sync up and be up to date. I would like either that the site does this itself when I load in, or a sync button to sync all tasks with their current version.

It's very common that some tasks may take a long time to complete, and in that period they might be interrupted or paused by some circumstance, and resumed later. Right now, there isn't a comfortable way to visualize this, because having the task split in two or more separate tasks might lead to redundancy in it's descriptions, checklists, etc. Having an insanely long task all over a Gantt diagram isn't optimal either, specially when it was really worked on 50% of it's declared time.

When I am looking at tasks in ClickUp, some of my tasks contain a description. Most of the time I use list view, so for the tasks which have a description attached to it, there is a very helpful icon, which if hovered over, shows you a preview of the description. The icon is also handy as it gives an indication that there may be more to read about that task. It would be very helpful if there is something similar if there are only links attached to the task, so when you are looking at the list, you can easily see which tasks contain links and which do not.

This will make it easier to present a proper ranking of tasks.

On the Board view, the empty space to the right of the last status column is pure white. When you have colorful status headers (purple, yellow, green) next to a large bright-white void, the contrast is harsh and causes eye strain, especially during longer sessions. The broader issue: For users who work in ClickUp all day as their primary tool, the overall bright-white background across all views creates cumulative eye fatigue. This affects List views, Doc views, and Board views alike. Suggestion: Apply a very light gray background (e.g. #F7F7F8 or similar) to the empty/unused areas of the Board view as a quick win. Ideally, allow users to set a custom background tint (light gray, warm beige, soft blue, etc.) for the entire app interface, similar to how some code editors offer soft themes between "full white" and "full dark." Not everyone wants Dark Mode, but pure white all day is rough on the eyes. This is a relatively small cosmetic change that would significantly improve visual comfort for power users who spend 8+ hours a day in ClickUp without needing to switch to Dark Mode entirely.

EDIT: Let me access content from independent workspaces all in the same view. Be able to link workspaces in different locations to this central view, so that I can access all of my content from one place. This is useful for freelancers who help teams build out and want to see all tasks across multiple teams at once.
