I’d like ClickUp to move beyond the current single-window layout and support dockable and undockable windows. For example, I want the Chat to be available as its own dockable panel — something I can undock into a separate floating window. The same should apply to other components, like individual Docs sections or the Feature area, so they can be opened independently. In general, I’d love the ability to build a custom workspace made up of modular elements inside one window, but with the option to undock them and move them freely wherever I want. That way, I’m not forced to work inside one fixed interface all the time. This would be a major game-changer for users with multi-monitor setups, or for people who frequently focus on just one of ClickUp’s tools at a time — it would greatly improve workflow and focus. As a proof of concept, we even built a standalone chat window ourselves using vibe coding, which shows that something like this should definitely be possible.
