Hey everyone! Today, Clips are shared publicly through an unguessable URL and don’t require the viewer to be logged in. While this is standard for many platforms, we understand it may not meet all expectations. Making Clips URLs require Workspace authentication is not currently supported, but we’re actively tracking interest in this post. Workspace owners and admins can enable or disable Clips at any time using the Clips ClickApp . Is it possible to somehow shorten the sharing links, especially those of clips. When I share a clip that is a very long link, and feels unprofessional and sometimes even spammy to share over to clients because it is too long. Even if we can shorten it a little bit or able to set custom link after some slug to identify account. That'd be great! Or the automatically given link should be made a bit shorter.

Hi, I would love to use clips for collaboration with stakeholders. Say for example I get a request to make a modification to a dashboard. I would like to be able to record a clip and the stakeholder comment on in the clip. BUT I don't want anyone other then me and her to have access to this clip. I wish we can set the permissions on each clip to only those tagged on it for example or its own security and permissions menu.

We are considering moving from Loom to clips, but there are a few missing items that make it hard to switch. Webcam Auto upload in the background so it's already ready to share when you're done. Onscreen controls

Ability to enable/disable Clips based on user roles, rather than all or nothing at the Workspace level. Since ClickUp may be used for external guests, this would allow customers to meet the security needs of their own clients more flexibly.

I'd love to be able to save my Click Up Clips as an MP4 file, rather than only be able to access them as a web-based file format. Reason: I'd like to be able to use my Clips to create how-to training docs for my team and freelancers. But I've been told the Clip URLs only last 30 days, which means they can't be used to create long-term videos.

Ability to start and stop a Clip video, ability to record audio only without screen share

From support: It would be nice if Guests had access to the Clip feature.

I want to organize my docs and if I record videos for a client, I would love to have them separated by folders, etc

We use clips extensively. They are key in providing our internal team on clip context on anything from bugs that we find, qa instructions, visuals for sop's, etc etc. The use cases are endless. However, a huge gap is the inability to clip/crop/cut, whatever you'd like to call it. A ton of time gets wasted in re-doing videos because many times things happen when you don't want them to, and usually that's when your recording. Snagit which we use alot as well company wide can clip portions you select out of a video and its a huge time saver as you can keep the video running, and edit out whatever needs to be removed afterwards without wasting the rest of the video and restarting. Now that clips have their own space and it looks like its a feature that's getting attention with an Ai notetaker and its own managed space, adding some actual functionality to the clips themselves would be great.
