Clips: Add face cam overlay when screen recording (like Loom)
Courtney Waters
When recording a Clip, it would be great to have the option to show a face cam overlay, a small circle in the corner showing the recorder's face, similar to how Loom handles it.
Currently Clip supports voice, but adding a picture-in-picture webcam feed would make recordings feel more personal and communicative, especially useful for async feedback, walkthroughs, and team updates.
Why it matters:
Seeing someone's face while they talk makes a big difference. It helps viewers understand tone and intent, not just the words. Without it, recorded messages can feel flat or be easy to misread. Adding a face cam option would make Clips feel more like a real conversation, help teams communicate more clearly, and reduce the back-and-forth that happens when something gets misunderstood. It would also put ClickUp in direct, giving users one less reason to switch between apps and making ClickUp a more complete, all-in-one platform for team communication.
