AI-powered Gmail integration that scans my inbox, summarizes missed/important emails, and suggests action items or tasks to add to ClickUp—ideal for Education Foundations and users without Gemini.

I want the ability to select different AI models. Right now, we don't even know which model is being used. But it's becoming very common in AI Chat tools to be able to select Claude, Gemini 2.0 Flash, OpenAI o4 vs OpenAI 4.1, etc. It would be great to have more flexibility here.

Training and Onboarding Develop training materials that reflect the company voice. Provide new employees with guidelines on communication style and branding. Internal Communication Streamline internal memos, announcements, and newsletters. Promote a unified communication strategy within teams. Feedback and Improvement Collect and analyze feedback on communication effectiveness. Adapt guidelines based on employee and customer responses. It would greatly improve productivity if AI models in ClickUp could remember my conversation preferences—such as preferred response format, tone, and level of detail—across sessions. This would save time by eliminating the need to repeat instructions and ensure a more personalized, consistent AI experience for ongoing projects.

I’d love to see a feature in ClickUp AI similar to ChatGPT’s “Custom Instructions.” Instead of re-selecting a saved prompt every time, I want to define my AI style, tone, goals, and contextual preferences once—and have them automatically applied across all interactions with ClickUp Brain and AI Agents (in tasks, chat, etc.). Why this matters: • It’s key for creative brainstorming and maintaining consistent tone across work. • Saves time from having to reapply prompts. • Makes AI truly feel like an extension of my workflow and voice. Bonus feature idea: Allow workspaces to upload contextual documents (PDFs, strategy docs, style guides) that AI can reference persistently.

Current Capability: Currently, AI agents in ClickUp can access and process files attached via the default attachments section of a task. This supports general automation and document analysis, but only at the task level. Limitation: AI agents cannot access files uploaded to custom attachment fields. Custom attachment fields are user-defined and allow teams to categorize and separate attachments by type or purpose (e.g., “Resume,” “Background Check,” “Government ID”). These fields are essential for structuring workflows that require specific documents to be handled differently. Use Case: We want AI agents to access and process files in custom attachment fields so that we can build precise, field-specific workflows. This would allow AI to apply targeted logic and automation to each type of attachment, rather than treating all files the same. Recruitment Workflow Examples: Resume Screening: Candidates upload their resumes to a custom “Resume” attachment field. AI agents could automatically review and summarize qualifications, flag missing information, or match skills to job requirements. Background Screening: Background check documents are uploaded to a custom “Background Check” field. AI agents could verify the presence of these documents, extract key findings, or alert HR if a background check is missing or incomplete. Requirements Submission Monitoring: Candidates are required to submit various documents (e.g., government IDs, certifications) to specific custom attachment fields. AI agents could monitor each field, notify recruiters of missing items, and ensure all requirements are met before moving a candidate forward. Benefits: Enables field-specific AI logic, such as validation, extraction, or summarization, tailored to each attachment type. Supports more accurate and automated workflows, reducing manual checks and errors. Improves compliance, audit readiness, and operational efficiency by ensuring the right documents are processed in the right way. Request: Please enable AI agents to access, read, and process files stored in custom attachment fields within ClickUp tasks, so that precise, field-driven automation and logic can be implemented for workflows such as recruitment, compliance, and more.

The AI notetake lists the date in US format (MM/DD/YYY). It would be good to choose DD/MM/YYYY as most of the world uses that format over the US one.

It would be great to have Grok added as I am finding it giving better results on technical documents. That and especially as its now #1 at time of posting.

Currently, ClickUp Brain can search and reference files stored in SharePoint, but it does not index or search the contents of PDF documents stored there. This limitation makes it difficult to surface relevant information that may be embedded within important PDF files, such as contracts, reports, or reference materials. I am using Chat GPT itself for this as it does a great job but it takes extra time to feed it all the context. I am requesting an enhancement that allows ClickUp Brain to search the full text of PDF documents stored in connected SharePoint accounts. This would enable users to quickly find and reference information within PDFs directly from ClickUp, improving productivity and knowledge management across integrated platforms. Key benefits: Faster access to critical information stored in PDFs on SharePoint. Improved search accuracy and relevance for workspace users. Streamlined workflows by reducing the need to manually open and search PDFs outside of ClickUp. I have a conversation for every brand I work, but there's another chats with Brain for other random stuffs. I need a way to pin my brand chats, or use folders to group AI conversations on Brain AI.
