Feature Requests

Feedback: The current AI assistant is labeled inconsistently throughout the interface: "Brain," "Brain2," "Brain MAX," "Ask," "AI," "AI assistant," and various sparkle icons. As a user, it's confusing to figure out which button opens the AI panel, especially the side-by-side view from within a task. It would be much easier if ClickUp unified these under one clear, consistent name and icon so users can find it without guessing.

Would love to be able to set a favorite as my default view when opening clickup.

Hello! My name is Ben and I'm a developer. My team and I use your platform heavily to keep track of our work. One way we streamline this is by creating/updating tickets through your MCP. I recently discovered that you could add background color to your tickets which I love. However, every time I update a ticket, the color styling is reset on the ticket. It looks like the markdown sent through the MCP overrides any sort of styling in the ticket body (looks like Brain uses another API and Brain can update the ticket body and comments properly with color). In addition, you can't set colors using the html span tags through the MCP either. Anyways, I just spent 30 min updating my epic with colors. Then I updated some of the tickets through the MCP and all my styling disappeared so now I'm sad. It would be great if you could fix this so I can keep my tickets lookin pretty haha. Thank you!

I've created a "Hub" of sorts for my team and it would be so much more useful if that could be added to the Home section with Inbox, Replies, My Tasks. I know this can be favorited but It makes sense that one would want to have a specific page or two added to that section.

When presenting ClickUp content during meetings (dashboards, artifacts), the top navigation bar (pinned tabs, search, workspace switcher) and left sidebar (Home, Spaces, Planner, AI) remain visible, cluttering the screen and distracting from the content. Request: A "Presentation Mode" toggle that hides all navigation UI so the active content fills the entire browser window.

Feedback: When I click the ClickUp icon in the system tray (notification area), it opens the Command Center/quick search instead of the full application. This is frustrating because: It's unintuitive. Every other app opens its main window when you click its tray icon. There's no setting to change this behavior. It wastes time and attention, requiring an extra step (right-click → Open ClickUp) just to get to the actual app. Suggestion: Either make single-click open the full app (with Command Center as a right-click option), or at minimum give us a toggle in Desktop App settings to choose the behavior.

There should be provided 'Go Back' and 'Go Forward' buttons ON TOP of Clickup (as well as their keyboard shortcuts) - to point to previous & Next ACCESSED Note's location. Also should provide 'UNDO' & 'REDO' buttons on TOP of clickup, near 'go back' and 'go forward' buttons.

Artifacts currently only appear as view tabs at the top of a Folder or List. Docs, on the other hand, show in the sidebar tree, which is where most people actually navigate. This means artifacts are effectively invisible unless you already know they exist. Request: Let artifacts appear as sidebar items alongside Docs, Lists, and Channels. Alternatively, let us pin an artifact to a Folder so it shows in the sidebar tree the same way a Doc does. Why it matters: We're building interactive reference docs as artifacts (scorecards, process guides) but our team can't discover them through normal navigation. We end up having to link to them from a Doc anyway, which defeats the purpose of artifacts being standalone.

I use ClickUp desktop app. After one of the recent updates, when I minimize the app to the tray, double-clicking on the icon in system tray opens the Command Center, not ClickUp app itself. Is there a way to change this, it's super inconvenient? System is Windows 11 Pro.
