Feature Requests

Hello ClickUp Team, First, I want to thank you for building such a powerful project management platform. ClickUp has become an important part of our daily workflow, and we appreciate the constant improvements you continue to make. I would like to suggest a feature that I believe would greatly improve productivity. Currently, if a task contains a checklist, users need to open the task to view or update the checklist items. It would be extremely helpful if there were an option to expand and display the checklist directly from the List view, similar to how dropdown fields can be expanded to show all of their options without opening the task. For example, there could be a small expand/collapse arrow next to the checklist field. Clicking it would display all checklist items directly beneath the task in the List view, allowing users to: View all checklist items without opening the task. Check off completed items directly from the List view. Quickly monitor progress across multiple tasks. Save time by eliminating the need to repeatedly open and close tasks. This would be especially valuable for teams that use checklists as their primary workflow, such as operations, project management, quality assurance, and recurring task management. I believe this enhancement would make ClickUp even more efficient and provide a much smoother user experience. Thank you for considering this feature request. I find that when using a calendar, it should be satisfying to get rid of tasks and it should kind of feel good. I feel like I've been using ClickUp for a long time cause it's good at everything else except for this. It feels very tedious to get rid of tasks and I feel like the best thing is just for it to be a quick and satisfying completion. Click like maybe a potential idea could be that you can leave it like this as one of the methods or there could be let's say on the bottom right of the task a quick completion and that just completes the task just with one click we don't have to hover over it to get the tick box and then once we click the tick box, we have to choose if it's completed or not or what category it's in and then we have to choose if all the items are resolved it's just such a long process maybe just to have a quick completion would be excellent and make it a lot more satisfying to finish tasks. Additionally, probably maybe seeing for that specific day all the task that you did previously like leaving them in green, for example still populated on your calendar could kind of motivate you to continue completing your next tasks to think like wow look at all the things I did the last six hours for example. Sometimes I know that to complete the task even if it's an extra second, I know that it's not a satisfying and enjoyable process so I often don't even kick it off even though that sometimes like the most encouraging or exciting part of completing a task and I just leave it all towards the end of the day where I just take like 5 to 10 minutes to just do that for every specific task that I did that day and it just kind of takes away from the fun I believe.

I just accidentally merged two tasks. This is a big move that is difficult to undo. Please ask the user to confirm that this is what they want to do before they do it, and ideally give them a way to undo it right away.

I have about 50 spaces (each space is 1 client). We just decided on new task statuses, and now to add a single status, I need to go through all 50 spaces and make the changes. Even though they all have the same statuses. This is very bothersome – I hope you can allow bulk status changes globally.

When working on multiple tasks at once or need to open a document that will remain open throughout the task process. It would be ideal to have separate tabs for active tasks and documents.

To make things easier visible when something is urgent for instance. It helps!

I would like the theme and background be be changed by a color wheel for more options. I am in this all day and would appreciate the flexibility. Thanks!

I know it's a first-world problem, but the font (Gotham) and it's size is an itch for me. Can we user-preference it?

Hello. In ClickUp 3.0 the left panel showed spaces, but after upgrading to 4.0 there's a new sidebar which takes up too much space in small displays. I unchecked all the sections, but still cannot make it disappear or autohide.

Would love to be able to set a favorite as my default view when opening clickup.
