Brain MAX (Desktop)

Allow me to select the microphone used for Talk to Text in Brain MAX. I've tried adjusting the microphone in my Mac settings but this does not help. I have an external webcam that has a microphone and I'd like to use this since my macbook is closed. I've tried ~30 times using Talk to Text and Brain MAX does not pick up my voice with any microphone selected. The same error shows: "Brain couldn't hear you." I've tried using the Talk to Text keyboard shortcut and clicking the microphone on the Home screen of Brain MAX - nothing seems to work.

When recording a longer message with BrainMax. The screen will lock if the dictation exceeds the time set for the MacBook to lock. This interruption can disrupt the flow. The ideal scenario would be for the screen to remain unlocked while I am dictating, whether I am pressing and holding a key or using the toggle keys.

Let us directly dictate into a text field system wide (Windows, Mac, Android etc) I have Windows and Android and know this would be hell of a timesaver to directly dictate to text without additional steps of copying and pasting.

I'm testing the desktop app for MacBook Air M3 where I have connected: 1 external mic (Elgato Wave 3) 2 external monitor When I have the MacBook monitor open and 1 external monitor, the “Talk to text” function in Brain MAX works. The microphone picks up my voice. In the system setting, I see the Elgato Wave 3 is active. When I close the MacBook monitor and only have the 2 external monitors, the microphone doesn't work. In the system settings, I see the Elgato Wave 3 is active but the microphone doesn't pick up my voice. Any idea why?

I noticed that CPU usage is about 10-15% when sitting idle in the background on an M2 macbook. Comparable apps like Clickup itself, Whatsapp or zoom are around 2/3.

Before the latest update on Brain Max, long form (3-4 min audio) speech to text worked great. Even if there was an error in processing, it still recorded the clip and I could retry the recording. Now with the latest update, that function stopped and I now have had multiple instances in which I record a 3-4 min clip and it doesn't record/save into the brainwave history.

The Max app has a toggle to prevent links from opening in a browser. However, turning this toggle off does not result in the links opening in the desktop app; they still open in the browser.
