Replicating a formula field in templates

We struggled a lot trying to include a formula field in a list template. We tried many times, contacted the support, reading help documents but was impossible to get an explanation. Finally a support agent explained that was not possible to do that.
We had a List Template which purpose is the administration flollow-up of each of our projects. We need a formula to calculate payable amounts we need to charge our clients, so we can replicate this field each time we use the template without the need to create manually the field each time.
I think this is important also for fomula fields in general

Need this yesterday! I am trying to provide some meaningful KPI / Dashboard views of our project portfolio. Measuring how many days certain PM Deliverable tasks are overdue (charter, scope/requirements, closure reports) when still open/inprogress or how many days late when closed is something we are looking to report as a KPI. I can only do this with formula fields and I need them availble in the standard project list template i created. I hope to see this soon.

This was actually working for us and we were using without issue from September 2024 until fairly recently. In fact, a substantial part of our process was architected this way by the PS consultant. However, in the last few months, we started encountering some issues and now it is not working for any recent custom fields.
I don't understand how it was working for so long but suddenly stopped and now ClickUp support is telling me this is not actually supported and is a new feature??

This would be super helpful. Currently for each new project I am recreating dozens of formula fields. Ideally this would also carry over to dashboard view in the same templated list / folder.
