LineUp is an incredibly helpful way to sort current tasks by order of priority. Our team loves this feature, but it'd be a convenient and helpful for our team to be able to see each other's LineUps in our morning touch points. This would help us better understand what our teammates are currently focused/working on, and it'd provide an added layer of transparency and accountability. It would also help us to streamline the way we organize our work.

I like the popout to be able to see other people's assignment lists and Lineup, but I need to be able to see their LineUps in vertical, the way mine does on the homepage now.

This is such an obvious feature, it's staggering to me that this wasn't in place from the get go. LineUp is only useful on a personal basis. It would be astronomically more useful should there exist the ability to see various direct reports or colleagues LineUps at a glance so you can see what currently being worked on.
The current profile view is awful and is not scannable, has no extra info and only shows the top 4 tasks.

It's not about seeing lineup in a regular view, it needs it's own view and dashboard.
For us Due dates are not set in stone, they're more an estimated date, that's why we use lineup a lot.
We use it as a better way to let our employees know which tasks are more important than others in the near term.
We need a place where we can see ALL EMPLOYESS' lineups so we can more easily manage and reorganize / reprioritize everyone's lineup.
in addition these are needed urgently.
- lineup should have more details in the card, show parent task name + location.
- Allow to add 5-10 cards.
- A way to automate when a task it's marked as complete it's auto removed from lineup.
- Easier shortcuts to add items to an employees lineup.
- Use the priority status together with the lineup

Hey, everyone 👋
Note: Repost from another canny I did earlier!
We're doing some major investigations of our LineUp feature and I'm trying to find posts in Canny where I can ask our power users what they think! While my question isn't exactly relating to a LineUp View, you'll see that there is some overlap in the gif!
We're looking for some feedback on a brainstorming idea we've had regarding LineUp and My Work. In this gif, we're showing off an experience where you can add a task to your LineUp and then see how it will appear for you on My Work. As you can see, all LineUp items now live inside of your work and you'll be able to group by them in order to see what your next priorities are.
We'd really love to know if this would increase the value of LineUp for you and if you have any other thoughts.
Thanks so much!

Zach - ClickUp: Thank you for your ideas, for me it feels much too complicated and I think it's because you're designing it with the current ClickUp solutions in mind.
I'd recommend to forget what we have (LineUp, My Work) and instead read the comments here and rethink, how you would plan your next working days with a tool you created, if you didn't know ClickUp! :)
My oppinion:
I think we have two main concepts here to consider: Due dates & next days planning...
Let's unfocus, how does that fit in reality?
You know you have five tasks with an upcoming due date, others with high priority but without due date. And others you know you'll have to solve until the end of year. You're a busy person and planning your next tasks by date and time will only cost you more time, as it won't work and you have to reschedule again and again...
So what you want is one central place (at home and tray), easy to understand with
- Today
- Tomorrow
- Next days
- Later
- Custom Lists (optionally) like "To plan", "From Boss", ...
to drag the next tasks into, but not by strict date and time, but by YOUR priorities.
If you'd like to keep "My Work" and "LineUp" by hard, make one of them the source list and the other one the next days planning. Or combine them into one tool with one name... But that's what would help us a lot and is not perfect yet at ClickUp for us.
Thanks a lot :)

Zach - ClickUp, I love it in the my work view. If you could also make the numbers visible for all users and available in the API it would solve many of our issues. Priority is great but having a way to order your work is exactly what we need.

Wouldn't a LineUp Dashboard widget better solve your needs now? Perhaps this should be updated.

The current view on LineUp only allows you to see three items at a time and the horizontal view cuts off the description. That makes it very hard to see what the three items are and very difficult to triage them without clicking into each one. My team often has 5 to 8 items in LineUp but ends up doing a less important item first because it is hard to order them. Even with three items in LineUp, you can't see what they are without another click. A list view of the items would be enough to solve the problem without making any additional changes. As a bonus, allowing the team to create a dashboard of all the team members LineUp would make it really easy to assess who has too much and re-order to ensure the most important things were done first.
Without a list or vertical view, the LineUp feature is fairly useless. It felt like the solution to our problem when we first saw it and we quickly changed processes to make LineUp a part of our workflow, but now realize that it actually hides more than it shows.
Please add the ability to see all items in LineUp on one screen or in a list view.
Double bonus - There is no hover-over to expand on these tasks. That would reduce some of the issue where you can't see the full description. hover-over
