Unable to remove 'Watchers' in bulk
complete
Glenn Butcher
I created many Tasks / Sub Tasks across multiple 'Spaces', and wanted to see if there was a way to remove 'Watchers' in bulk. I can add 'Watchers' in bulk - but not remove.

Hey, everyone! Thanks for your feedback on this post!
Since it's possible to remove Watchers in bulk using the Bulk Action Toolbar, we're going to mark this post as complete!

We've accomplished this by clicking on the main Space name, viewing the list view, sorting by none, showing subtasks as separate tasks, selecting all (you have to scroll all the way to the bottom through 100 builds as the content loads until you hit the very bottom or it won't actually select them all), then click the eyeball at the top and set to unassigned. It's a pain. And the more important request here is to stop auto-assigning people as watchers. Check this request that's related. https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/disable-watchers-for-a-space

YES! Allowing bulk watcher removal is essential to ClickUp notifications being useful in the intended way.
This ties into the need for bulk selection of notifications to remove watcher and clear the notification instead of only being able to clear all notifications at once or just one at a time.

Hey Everyone!
This is actually something that can be done. If you click on a watcher's name twice it will actually remove them from all tasks selected. Please see my quick video(https://share.cleanshot.com/8KKzul).
Please let me know if you have any additional questions!
Thanks

Shaquille Payne: yeah it's possible but not very intuitive for the user. how should they know they have to click twice on something that is actually designed to do the opposite (add watchers) to achieve the result they expect? there should be some design indication to the user how to remove watcher.

Select all/deselect all feature.

Same! Although I am having this issue in the automations. You can set an automation to remove all assignees, but you don't have that same option for watchers... which doesn't make sense?
Please fix this Clickup!

Same for me. I created a template to use when adding a new project and now I'm receiving lots of notifications due to the fact I created the template and am automatically added as a watcher. I would prefer it to default to no watchers and add them where it is necessary...or have the option to remove in bulk.

I need Select All or Deselect All Watchers...it's taking way too many clicks to select everyone. Thanks.

For companies of tens people, this feature should be basic and will save lot of time. When my HR department want to add watchers, they has to make 20 mouse-clicks.
