Task drag and drop tasks

When I try to manually sort a task within a list of tasks and subtasks, it is difficult to place it correctly at the desired level. Often, when I 'drop' the task at the desired place, it gets sorted as a subtask when I wanted it at the task level or vice versa. Consequently, I have to undo my action and start again, being more careful.

Would love to also be able to hold a modifier key (CTRL, SHIFT, ALT) to set the dropped task as a Blocker or Waiting on Dependency

Brian Shen: When should we be able to see this? We just moved to ClickUp and a lot of our issues have been users losing their tasks and determining they are now a subtasks.

Sharon Kirby: Pro-tip for searching when there are hiccups like this and new users, use Ctrl+K to search full space includes subtasks. Otherwise, while in a specific list view, in order to use the list view search box you may want to either expand or show all as separate tasks.

Brian Shen: I also have the problem when I drag and drop a task, it will initially move to where I want it to go, not as a subtask, but then when I come back to ClickUp it's back to the original spot or a different spot. This is very frustrating when I'm trying to have my tasks sorted in a specific way. I try and move them multiple times, but they never seem to want to stick. Will this revamp fix that as well?

Lindsay Soriano: Yes, we are actively working on this as well, separate from updating the visual cues to aid in drag and drop usability.
