New Personal List - Assignee

When I create a task on the new personal list, tasks don't automatically assign to myself and therefore don't show up on my "assigned to me" card and I can't create an automation to do this. I'd like for tasks on the personal list to auto assign to me.

Hey, everyone!
With our latest release, you can now use Automations in Personal List. This means you can now create an automation that assigns tasks to you when tasks are created, moved, or added.
To add an automation, locate your Personal List on home and click the 'Automate your Personal List' button.
Let me know if you have any questions!

To automatically assign tasks to yourself on your personal list, you can try setting up an automation rule if your task management tool supports it. If automation isn't available, a workaround is to manually assign each task to yourself when you create it. Check the settings or preferences of your task management tool for any options to set default assignees or create custom scripts if the tool supports them. https://drgastro.in/

Come on ClikUp you're slacking, I hope we don't need to wait over 4 years to see this implemented like every other simple request!

Seems basic consideration and no idea why its not this way.

Why was this not considered part of the MVP, seems crazy - especially since the only available assignee in the dropdown is oneself.

100% Agreed! This just seems so obvious I have no idea why a personal list would not always automatically assign a task to you, I mean who else is it for? Most like, if I'm creating a "Personal" task, in my "Personal" list, then logic dictates that the task is for me, and therefore assigned to me. Come on clickup 🤦♂️
