ClickUp Brain's AI Email Assistant Is Gmail-Only — This Needs to Change for M365 Users
I run a law firm on ClickUp and have gone all-in on Brain, Super Agents, and the AI ecosystem. I'm exactly the kind of power user you want championing this platform.
Here's the problem: ClickUp Brain can search my inbox, draft replies, and send emails, but
only through Gmail
. My firm runs on Microsoft 365 with Outlook as our primary email. That means Brain's entire email assistant capability is completely unavailable to me and every other M365 user.
This isn't a minor gap. Email is the #1 communication tool for law firms, and probably most professional services businesses. The promise of an AI assistant that can help triage, draft, and manage email is a massive selling point for ClickUp, but it's a broken promise for anyone not on Gmail.
What I need:
* Brain/AI ability to
read, search, draft, and send
Outlook emails (same as the current Gmail integration)
* Super Agents that can monitor my Outlook inbox and take action (flag urgent messages, draft responses, create tasks from emails)
* Full Outlook email thread visibility within ClickUp tasks, not just attachments or screenshots
Why this matters:
* Microsoft 365 dominates the enterprise and professional services market
* ClickUp is positioning Brain as an AI work assistant, but an assistant that can't touch your email is half an assistant
* Users like me are evaluating whether to stay on ClickUp or move to platforms that actually integrate with our existing tools
* This has been requested for 5+ years with 4,300+ votes. It's time.
I love ClickUp. I don't want to leave. But I need Brain to work with the tools my firm actually uses.
