Clickup Team - Please can we get on with this and make it a priority - been suffering for years and years with the way emails are only half integrated in clickup and I just feel that this is not moving at all and really really needs to be done ASAP.
"Future" for four months, and "considering" for four years before that. Please, please, please make this the next thing you plan and plan it to happen quickly!

Hello ClickUp team, please take a close look at HubSpot’s new Help Desk and broader workspace direction.
One of the strongest things HubSpot is doing is treating emails as structured work items: essentially a type of ticket, with pipelines, SLAs, ownership, permissions, visibility controls, and team communication all managed in one place.
ClickUp already feels halfway there with email, tasks, statuses, automations, and collaboration. The missing piece is a more dedicated email/help desk experience; either as a ClickUp Email app or a specialised Space/List type designed properly for shared inboxes and support workflows.
My team is now transitioning to HubSpot because, alongside email and CRM, they now have a Project Management object that works really well. Breeze AI is genuinely impressive, and the interface feels modernised, decluttered, and much easier to set up.
The email and CRM relief is real. We feel like we can finally see better: client communication, pipelines, follow-ups, ownership, and project-related action items are becoming clearer in one place.
I would much prefer to stay with ClickUp. We already use and value it deeply. But alas, HubSpot is solving the communication, CRM, help desk, and project visibility problem in a way that ClickUp should be able to do even better.
It feels like a natural next step for ClickUp: a proper Help Desk and shared inbox layer built on top of the work management system teams already love.

I've been waiting for this feature since 2021 — that's over 5 years. FIVE YEARS. And the latest update from November 2025 says you're still "strengthening the foundation" and "improving infrastructure." With respect, that is not an update — that is a delay dressed up in corporate language.
I run my entire team out of ClickUp. We committed to this platform precisely because of the promise of Email V2 — a true email inbox inside ClickUp that would make it our single source of truth. Instead, we're still forced to context-switch between ClickUp and our email clients constantly, manually cc'ing task email addresses, using workarounds that don't scale, and explaining to our team why the "all-in-one" tool still can't handle email properly in 2026.
Look at this thread. 4,300+ voters. Years of detailed, actionable feedback. People describing exactly what they need. And what do we get? Pinned updates telling us to "keep sharing use cases." We have. Thousands of us have.
I am at my breaking point. My team and I are actively evaluating other platforms — Front, Missive, and others — that have had proper shared email inboxes built in for years. ClickUp is at serious risk of losing not just me, but entire teams who built their workflows around a promise that keeps getting pushed to "Future."
This needs to be on the active roadmap NOW. Not "Future." Not "gathering feedback." A concrete timeline, a public commitment, and real progress updates. The community has given you everything you need to build this. The business case is undeniable — 4.3k votes on a single feature request doesn't lie.
ClickUp: either make Email V2 a top priority in 2026 or watch your most invested power users walk out the door. I genuinely love this platform and do not want to leave — but I cannot keep running my team on a tool that treats its most-requested feature as an afterthought.

Solomon Tauber I absolutely agree! Been waiting years and years and proper email integration is just so important.

For me the key functionality is being able to attach an email conversation thread to a task and for my teammates who are assigned to that task, but not on the email thread, to be able to see all updates in the email chain - REGARDLESS of whether or not the email originated in a task in ClickUp as is currently available. Essentially Missive inside of ClickUp.

Fully integrate email

I would like to have full email functionality, not just use email in ClickUp to email internally. I want a way to have all my emails in one place. Also more email integrations. I use Zoho for one business.

Why not have a full fledged E-Mail & Calendar Client in Clickup?
ClickUp Anytest
I spend most of my day in ClickUp. For e-mails and calendar we use Outlook (MS365). Since the planned 2-way sync for Outlook is obviously going nowhere another option would be you integrated e-mail (and calendar) into ClickUp. Notion did it! So, why not.

Zeb Is this "V2" still happening?
I think the email system is one of my biggest pain points in clickup at the moment.
I want to use clickup as a CRM, everything is here except the email integration. It's extremely handy for keeping in touch with clients throughout a project right from clickup.
I feel like this is really low-hanging fruit - for a few small improvements this could really be a big win.
- Massively long threads for conversations that cannot be collapsed
- Getting email threads into clickup that were not started there
- Replying to comments that come in by email with emails, not just internal comments.
- Being able to actually reply to emails from Home -> Inbox: Currently subject and to fields are not populated when you hit reply.
- Having automations and AI distinguish properly between comment and email. Incoming and outgoing.
- Automation triggers for emails sent and received on a task
- Insert task fields in emails - so templates can include things like Hi [Custom Field: First Name],
All this needs to be with IMAP too, not just gmail or outlook.

Simon Griffith Not sure I would have chosen Clickup based around email. Until clickup offers something like missive app or front app, I think our frustration will remain..

Zeb - 5 years on still no ClickUp to replace Outlook box. For all the progress combining a wide range of tools into one site, the absence of threaded email correspondence (available in other PM tools) is glaring. Please make this a priority.
Tim Jasper
Jeff yes agreed. This should be a full separate client (like missiveapp) that then can also be integrated as needed into the various parts of Clickup.

for those who work in IT and need to manage tickets this functionality is essential!
