We know many of you have been eagerly awaiting this functionality for some time. With 3.0, we laid the groundwork for the new Email + inbox feature, but there is still work ahead.
I can give you an update since our team has put in a lot of work to improve our email service and handle the higher demand more effectively. With more emails expected to flow through ClickUp we wanted to make sure that we had the buffer to take on more functionality.
We also have a significant migration planned for our Microsoft email customers later this year, which should open up many more possibilities, but that part is still going through some back and forth on planning.
As some of you have mentioned, perfecting this feature will involve multiple steps, which is why we do not have an ETA just yet.
We'll keep you updated as we develop more features, but please keep sharing your feedback and use cases. At the end of the day, our goal is to enhance your communication needs, and since not everyone has the same requirements, understanding where you face challenges helps us get a clearer picture.

Any update on this? Even the ability to see all info like who is CC'd in emails that are sent into clickup would be a big improvement!

Really can't wait for this feature but it's honestly overkill. All I really want is the ability to reply to emails that are forwarded to a clickup task. Currently, you can only respond to them as comments, so to reply to a customer you have to start a new thread and then things start to get messy...

The ClickUp slogan is “The Everything App for Work,” right? Email is an essential part of our workflow, and it would be amazing if this could be seamlessly managed within the ClickUp platform.
I’m hoping for is the ability to send and receive emails directly within ClickUp, eliminating the need to switch to Outlook. This would allow me to stay fully focused on ClickUp. Thank you!

With clickup chat now primed, email is the missing component in Clickup. See missive for what clickup email should be like. My team are still predominantly using missive for chat as this is where teams live (ie in email). Is there a planned beta for the new Clickup Email? Super interested to be involved. This is the final piece of the clickup puzzle (oh and also Permissions on Document Pages 😱 )

I would love different options to be able to do things like assign, set due dates, and tag tasks created by email. I've ran into multiple Form applications (Jotform, Formidable) now that will not send special characters like "<" and ">" in email subjects, which limits our ability to automate tasks.

Any update here? The fact clickup doesn't handle emails well and the chrome extension is always broken is a huge pain. Every client email must be manually processed by copy and pasting details over to clickup to create tasks etc, such a hassle. Not even like this is in progress which means its probably a year + out.

No update since May? This a very important feature. I would love to use the email in click-up much more. But it the replies always come in garbled with many links. This makes using the email feature from within click-up very cumbersome.
