Would love this!
Please make it so you can send as more than one email address per connected google account. I have 1 google Workspace account and frequently send emails between 2-3 aliases any given day. This would make organizing my work so much easier!

ClickUp Email Service

This is something like waaay down the line, but I would love to see ClickUp offering a super sleek email service - maybe even just an interface where we can hook up via imap/pop so you don't have to host - but ideally, it would be a real ClickUp feature:
-sending and receiving emails like normal
-ability to convert an email into a task and if the other person doesn't have ClickUp, they would see it like a normal non-formatted email on their end, but responses on our end would look like comments on that task.
-emails are threaded and grouped like usual per subject/task title, but in the 'email inbox', we have the ability to also group by contact + assign a 'contact' multiple emails if they use several domains, or the contact would be automatically created by default (and then we cna manually merge later)
-if the contact has ClickUp, a user profile would be automatically generated that's associated with our team.
Just some ideas, if y'all are really going to expand into an OS

The ability to use the original email in Clickup for responding.
I love the new email feature in Clickup but cannot figure out a way to get the original email that was sent to be in Clickup in a way that I can continue responding to it in the task.
Essentially if I can create a task from an email I have recieved to start a new task in Clickup. But I cannot continue the conversation from the attached email in Clickup. If I want to use the new email feature to capture the email conversation I have to start a new email from within clickup which starts a new conversation. This loses the content of the original email and it is not part of the thread of the new email. Responding to the original email in Clickup would be preferred and keep the conversation in tact.

Ability to Embed multiple tasks inside Email in ClickUp
We would like to be able to select multiple tasks with the multi-select function or in Home and embed these tasks in a single Email.
Ideally, the email recipient would receive the email and be able to check off/update the status of tasks without logging into ClickUp. The corresponding task in ClickUp will be updated and a comment left in the Email and/or Task thread with who updated the task based on the email recipient.
This can be used for agenda items assigned to customers/guests/team members, reminders, project update requests, etc.

Email from chat
Andrew Dunn
Allow for emails to be sent outside of a specific task. For example, sending an "announcement" in the chat as both a thread in chat and in email would drastically reduce the double work in sending emails.
Similarly, being able to either embed my email as a tab on the home page or pop open a draft window to send an email from the home page would be fantastic for those items that are more macro in nature that don't belong neatly to a task.

This is a game changer! So Excited. When do you expect this feature to drop? @Zeb

Hey @Tyler Bushong! We don't have an ETA for this yet but we’re using this post to collect all of your feedback for the future of Email!

@Waleed Elaghil: If it isn't already, I think Emailv2 should be our top feature priority. V1 was the highest rated feature for ClickUp, but it's currently so limited that I don't consider using it. Emailv2 might deserve all the previous upvotes from 'Send Email from ClickUp', including top resources from ClickUp to develop.
I'm very excited to see this developed, thanks for your work on it.

Email - create the ENTIRE email experience in ClickUp! :)

For any given person, I'm guessing 90% of work related emails in their email inbox could be categorized into a few (1-5) routine workflows they're responsible for. Outlook and Gmail can categorize, BUT they have worthless workflow functionality. I would love if the email experience was ENTIRELY in ClickUp.
I'm imagining signing into ClickUp and clicking on my 'email' ClickUp list, where new received emails (not ongoing threads, but brand new emails) appear in my first list status 'new emails' as a task. The email content appears in the Comments section like it does now. Then, I can categorize, assign and move the task to a new list (workflow) if needed.
Secondly, I can go through my key lists (workflows) for managing those emails and have the list pre-sorted by a column that flags for new replies to those threads.
I would LOVE to optimize the entire emailing experience in ClickUp!

Please add the following to email templates in V1:
- Ability to use variable fields in manually sent email templates (looks like these already exist in automations, but aren't yet possible in the actual email templates for some reason).
- Ability to populate those variable fields at the List level (in addition to the task level). This would allow us to populate "client email address" or "Manager Name," etc. one time vs needing to add it to all email tasks.
- Add “Emails” as an activity that can be selected in the Activity view so we can see a clean communication log on each project without noise from all the internal comments. Or even better--it would be AWESOME if you created a "Communication Log" Activity, with ability to also drop in call notes.
- Allow us to purchase Email seats for Guest users.
Thank you!

How soon can we move this to the "In Progress" column?

Before going for V2, improve the current version.
- (Critical) Ability to resize e-mail section height.
- Insert (default) signature automatically.
- (Critical) In threaded e-mails, insert signature at the end of a reply, not at the end of a thread.
- (Critical) Add soft line breaks. Right now pressing enter starts a new paragraph and not a new line.
- Add snippets and a way to categorize them (folders). Snippets can be inserted at the cursor position.
- Categories (folders) for templates.
And allow at least one e-mail account per seat. And ability to allow guests to use specific e-mails accounts.
