Docs | Formatting - Improvements and expanded Options

I find it a bit messy how titles are handled for documents. See the first image below. This is a document edited within CU. We have the "This is a Title" - which is different from the view title, and which we can't format in any way (even something as basic as centering on the page).
The second image shows it shared via a webpage. So now I get double, messy, headings for the viewer.
And then the third image, when someone downloads a PDF, the view as it should be in my opinion when shared - and we lose the messy double titles. Although now the "Real Heading" line is formatted with a different font.
The "This is a Title" is really the "filename" in old-speak, and perhaps on the web view is should be written as such in some way, and formatted to be a lot less prominent?
I know docs are being worked on, but we need some consistency of fonts and formatting. This is how we are presenting information to clients, and as such represent part of our company image. It's a mess at the moment, and the results are un-predictable.
It'd be great to be able to setup document headers and footers as well!
And as a little addendum - I've just created a document. Views fine on the web share (albeit with the caveats in my original post) - but when you download the PDF version, some of the text is Bold as per my original doc, and some isn't.
There seems to be no rhyme or reason to this - and it's very frustrating.
Also, I know the "free-flowing" nature of the document creation is refreshingly freeing, but it would be useful to have a pagination view to see where the page breaks are going to be on the PDF version.

Hi all,
Thanks so much for the great ideas on this thread!
As this post is about many things at once, it can be hard to track and dive deep into specific things.
For that reason, and to best serve you here, we're going to be closing this thread and splitting the common themes into other posts:
More text and highlight colours - https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/more-text-and-highlight-colour-options
Removing headers from the table of contents - https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/remove-items-from-the-table-of-contents
Improving export PDF styles - https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/ugly-pdf
Nested banners - https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/being-able-to-create-multi-paragraph-banners
If these ideas are still features you want to see in the platform, please upvote them.
I'm excited to see your thoughts on these 😊
Thank you!

Thanks so much for letting me know! I've just swapped the links, and they should be good now.

More Editing Formatting options for Docs

New docs are kinda cool. I tried to edit over one of my KB's articles as a trial and it just completely destroyed the formatting though.
No tables, no columns. The information being there is useless to me if I can't format it to something easier to read.

I've posted in a couple of these threads Sydney Brendan W Waleed Elaghil Melissa Rosenthal Zeb, some of which should be merged, so some of this will be repeat (https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/docs-better-more-consistent-formatting) but because this request is massively under-voted, here's my list:
List formatting - As the CEO of a startup, and president of my neighborhood association, I've been encountering a lot of legal documents. More list formatting, such as a., b., c.; i, ii, iii, etc would be extremely helpful.
Page formatting - As someone with a graphic design degree it
reeeeealy
irks me that there's no distinct page formatting. I just keep typing and typing and typing.... how many pages? What size paper? WHO KNOWS?!?! What even are margins?!?!?! Bleed might be a bit too much to ask, but Letter, Legal, Tabloid, and a handful of Euro sizes would be nice. Bonus points for landscape option. Not asking for full-on layout program, but some basics are deeply necessary.Image placement - Image boxes that we can drag around with the four standard text-wrap options would be immensely beneficial. Maybe a couple image box formatting options for bonus points, but not top prio.
Exporting - BIG ONE. Several issues here. As I've mentioned time https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/invoices and time https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/embed-views-in-docs again, Being able to export and get what we expect is....... Like..... how are you guys even screwing this up? Exporting docs is just a total disaster https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/docs-better-more-consistent-formatting on all levels. I tried to export a doc one time that had linked or mentioned (or whatever it's called) tasks, and it just looked like a total joke. This just isn't workable. Everything looks great
in
ClickUp, but sometimes docs just have to go other places. We've got to be able to just get what we expect when we export a doc. Simple as that.Organization - Docs within docs within docs? Within Docs??.. WITHIN DOCS??? It doesn't make any sense! https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/more-robust-docs-organization Just give us a common sense folder style docs organizational system in the "Docs" section. Don't try to reinvent the wheel. Just give us folders for Docs. Pretty straightforward.
Look, we all know noncompetes aren't valid in California; just hire a few Pages guys and get this done right.

Michael: Hey Michael,
Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback and insight!
I'm organizing this to share with our product managers and will also look to merge some of these where possible.
Once I've had a chance to discuss these ideas, I will reach back out with any clarifying questions or updates to share!
This is all really great feedback and I'm confident that it will help us out as we design and priortize the future of our platform.
Michael
Thanks, Nick Potok. Sounds good. Looking fwd to what you guys come up with.

I don't believe this is a feature request, this should be considered a bug.
If the export doesn't retain the original presentation of the document in ClickUp, any differing factors should be handled as a bug as it does not meet the expectation of being able to export an exact duplicate. Users should be able to go to the export options and select any method they desire, and each method should look exactly the way it is presented in the original ClickUp document. Currently, every export option has some glaring issue that makes the presentation of the export pretty unprofessional. If it doesn't export and present the same way it is in the original document, any difference to the presentation to be fixed is not a feature request, it is a feature fault. Feature faults used to be referred to as Bugs, but we don't talk about bugs on Canny anymore. A feature request would be to ask for a "Feature Faults" board to be created on Canny so there can be public discourse and transparency about the bugs we are all experiencing.
It has been nearly 2 years since this feature request has been raised and the Title is still exported as a Header section of the page, and has no format editing. So unless your export options actually show headers, your page has no title on the export, and if there are headers for your export option you do have a tiny header, but you can’t edit it.
There are other export issues that have been raised 2-3 years ago now that are bugs that still remain as "feature requests". When raised with the support team I am directed to comment here on Canny which has been dropped as a support method from ClickUp for bugs, which this issue is. I have little faith that ClickUp is giving export issues the priority it needs as all of these bugs are hiding behind "feature requests".

Indent within a list/banner

Being able to indent text within a list without making another bullet point -- within a banner too maybe. So that we can create different paragraphs within one. Indent a whole paragraph.
