The existing markdown import can't do formulas like this:

(\hat{P}(t) = f(\mathrm{CDDH}(t), \text{conditions})) with strong diagnostics and show (\sum (\hat{P}(t) - P_{\text{actual}}(t))_+)

Which really sucks when writing technical specs or docs

This is now getting beyond a joke. I appreciate there are a lot of moving parts and ClickUp is trying to cover a lot of features, but this is just so fundamental, and should be relatively straight forward to implement when there are so many libraries and proven implementation methods. I struggle to see how ClickUp can be at the cutting edge of AI but at the same time not speak the “language” of nearly all AI tools. Markdown has become the standard for all AI tools except ClickUp, so it’s more important than ever to fix this. Please.

Very surprised that pasting Markdown in or out of ClickUp doesn't work - probably the old tool in our stack that doesn't do this properly. Please prioritise. Thank you.

I'm shocked this isn't a feature from the get-go, especially after so many years the request has been on this board.

I need add a 200+ row markdown table to an existing Clickup wiki page. As a workaround, I pasted the 200+ rows into an existing table and the text pasted into a single cell.

Example format:

This would help our workflow and would make a real difference

When using ClickUp brain and other AI tools when inserting or copy and pasting Markdown formatted text into tasks or docs I expect it to paste as Markdown or at least have an option when I right click to paste as Markdown.

I'm importing several test cases from TestRail into ClickUp via API and came across this issue. I've written a python script to fetch the test suites and cases from TestRail and respect the current markdown in the TR test cases, but when I look at the tasks created in ClickUp after they're created via the API, they render as plain text with the proper markdown in place and there is no workaround for this. Real bummer. Not sure why you'd want users to have to use a slash command so task descriptions in click up recognize markdown... It would be great if ClickUp fixes this.

Trying to move some documentation into Clickup and we use markdown everywhere. Clickup needs to support proper markdown that is compatible with all the other tools we use (Github, etc.), this import or using AI to try to reformat is a big headache.
