Chat with Guests

Please make it possible to have Chats with Guests. When I invite a client as a guest to the project, it would be useful to have Chat available. We could exchange Comments in the Task, but Chat would be very useful.

I can't believe this feature isn't available yet. I just started with the updated chat and couldn't figure out why my guests couldn't respond to direct messages. This feature should be a huge priority for Clickup.

Click Up Chat will never replace slack until we can chat with Guests... I can't believe this request has been here since June 15, 2020 and you released a newly hyped up chat ux 4 years later without making this a key feature...

Echoing other comments about replicating Slack's free guest system. We have contractors that we have historically added as single channel users with limited viewing access, but anyone could DM them. Not having this feature in Clickup is preventing us from switching as we have a number of contractors that should not have the same privileges as our employees

The new chat is great but not including guests is a big miss. It means Slack/Teams or whatever else cannot be replaced and if you can't have all chats in one place, there is no point moving any to ClickUp.
ClickUp's vision is to replace other apps but without this, it doesn't :(

Guest chat would be very important to me as we are moving from Slack to ClickUp. Slack allowed everyone to talk to each other and without this possibility it makes it very difficult for people to adapt to the platform.

This would cover it... https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/global-slack-like-chat . There are lot of chat feature requests. Clickup please just build Clickup-Chat. Actually an interim way to do this, is create a chat within a dashboard - however everything in the dashboard would be shared with the guest. (oh those permissions... 😩)

Chat view for Guests (clients). There could be a chat view for internal general discussions (team members) and one external chat view for discussions with clients (guests).
I only want to share one view with clients the external chat view(that isn't possible at the moment). So that all communications with the client would be available in one place. Selected team members who are permitted to communicate with clients would have access to the client Chat view.

I REALLY want this feature! As a solopreneur web designer, guests will be a large part of my ClickUp interactions and having a chat feature built in that I can even use with them during such a large project, will help SO much. Comments are fine, but they can be all over the place; for projects with tons of tasks, I really need/want a centralized place for clients/guests to ask questions that aren't specific to a particular task.
Even more helpful, would be the ability to use the chat widget in a Dashboard, or at least the ability to participate in an embedded Chat view from their project's list inside a Dashboard where they have view-access.
Screenshot attached of a Dashboard concept, for such a project –all tasks not added yet, but this is the concept of what I'd want to invite the Guest to see during their project.

Kay Telle Hoel you can have Chat views on for example a folder that is shared with guests. Maybe that solves your problem?
