A 'Darker Gray' mode OR a 'Lighter Dark' mode required (ie, a Medium Dark mode is required)

Clickup has 2 modes -
- Default mode - Which is VERY LIGHT and looks almost 'White' on FHD and 4K screens, and
- 'Dark mode' - Which is VERY DARK and looks almost black and hides almost all design elements' boundaries (separating lines) in almost all panels.
Basically, a mode 'Between these 2 modes' would be of great help.
We can say this third mode as anything out of below 2 names -
'Darker Gray' mode OR 'Lighter Dark mode'

The previous Dark mode should have been retained as an additional option. It was perfect: neither too light nor too dark. It would be really nice to restore it in the theme options.

Can we have grey theme instead of a dark theme.
Dark theme is too dark, it does not soothe eyes in the long run.

Hey everyone,
While we haven't completed the specific request to create a third theme mode, we're excited to share that we've made significant improvements to the dark and light themes for better contrast and readability. These enhancements are designed to improve your experience by making the interface more accessible and visually appealing.
Here are the two feature requests that we recently completed related to this post:
- https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/contrast-readability-theme-color-improvements
I'm going to keep this specific request alive and move it back to an open status so that everyone can keep voting this up if they still require a third option.
Thank you and please let us know if you have any feedback as always!

Zach They are even worse now and it's causing eye strain for our team and embarrassment for how bad it looks when we have to show stuff to clients. This is fundamental design 101 stuff: Black backgrounds tend to make the white text appear more glaring. A dark grey background provides a slightly softer contrast compared to a completely black background. This reduces eye strain during prolonged reading because pure black and pure white create a high-contrast effect that can lead to visual fatigue.

Light mode, dark mode - medium mode?

Would it be possible to implement an in between color for the background? Light mode is just... super bright and dark mode gets more and more mysterious the longer I work in clickup. A nice light gray or easy reading light green tone would be very nice.

The new dark mode causes significant eye strain. Scanning down a list to find a certain ticket is very uncomfortable. There is a reason why all other application dark modes don't go full dark.

Having the old grey dark mode was pleasant and easy on the eyes. This new deep black dark mode is far worse than before. Having the option to switch back would be great.

I can't use dark mode anymore, it's too much. Please give us the previous medium grey as an option. Either that or we need a better color scheme.

We need an option to keep the old medium grey dark mode! As a designer, I loved how easy it was on the eyes. The new very black dark mode is too high contrast against white text and makes my eyes fatigued while reading. Can we please still have the old version as an option at least? I really miss it..

Was this pushed live!????
Zach
Nussi Einhorn: We're slowly rolling it out, so yes you might have the latest color scheme!

Today, dark colors are more dark.
I want a gray theme.
