Quoting text in Chat is unreliable

Being able to quote reply to a message in thread is extremely unreliable and inconsistent.
I've faced the following:
- Quote option not showing up at all
- Quote and command bar overlapping
- When triple clicking to select a line/paragraph of text, the quote option will appear after a double click and then disappear on the triple click.
- Clicking the Quote button does nothing.
- The Quote option doesn't show up when the message in chat is a post.
"Quote" should be integrated into the command bar as "Reply" rather than a small tooltip button.
- If the user has selected part of the message, that part will be quoted into the Reply box.
- If the user doesn't have any text selected the it will just @mention the user
- If the user clicks the reply button in a main chat as compared to in a thread, the behaviour is the same as the current "Reply in Thread" button.
- Currently the "Reply in Thread" button shows even if the user is in a thread, the above behaviour will unify the experience.

We are actively pushing fixes to improve the reliability of quoting!
An option to reply in line by quoting, rather than replying via thread, is also planned! Make sure to upvote this feature request too: https://feedback.clickup.com/chat-feedback/p/replies-inline-but-not-in-thread

Brendan W I spoke in a meeting with your fellow team member Daniel about this earlier this week.
It would be great if things could when highlighted have the ability to insert into the chat, but also, this is a much needed addition to chatting with Brain and or Super Agents.
As I laid out for Daniel, often AI being as smart as it is will uncover a number of things which need to be addressed and hence reducing the friction of replying to a multitude of areas in one conversation would be very welcomed.
On Mobile a swipe to reply would be welcomed as well. But not if it forgoes the ability to also highlight passages and reply to them as quotes.

Jason Joseph Thank you for the feedback!
