Ability to delete or archive Channels
complete
Marty Papamanolis
Ability to archive or delete channels in case where they were made by mistake, for example, when:
- A similar channel already existed and we want to delete this one.
- The chat channel was created with the wrong group of people or in the wrong space.

I think it would be nice if it was possible to delete (or archive) chats that are tied to Spaces, Folders or Lists, too. At the moment, I can create a chat for a list, but I can't delete it afterwards.

You can now delete Chats that are not tied to Spaces, Folders, or Lists!
As the creator of a Chat, just right click and open the context menu to find the
Delete Chat
option! Soon, you'll be able to granularly give higher permission to your fellow team members and allow them to manage the Chat as well.
Happy chatting! 👋

Brendan W I disagree with marking this as complete unless there is a separate request for the ability to archive or disable chats that are auto-created tied to spaces, folders, and lists. Is there a separate request for that, which I could upvote?

Georgia King: Hey, there! Yes there is, its this one: https://feedback.clickup.com/chat-feedback/p/make-it-optional-to-add-a-chat-on-a-location-space-folder-list

I see a comment here about deleting chats -- I have found that option, but I would like to archive chats. In the past, chats always automatically archived along with the list/folder they were connected to as a "view". Now old archived chats are filling up my chat list, and I want to get them out of there without deleting our records of conversation. I'd love if chats continued to auto-archive when the list the are connected to is archived.

No "delete" option for chats

Maybe I'm dumb and can't see it, but I don't see any option to delete a chat thread in the new chat section...

We hope to get this done and shipped either this week or next week!

Brendan W that would be great, it is not neat when you can't remove duplicated items (that were created by accident)
