Utilize Default Value for Custom Field

I a custom field that has a default value set, which works properly in the browser and on the desktop app. When creating a task on mobile, however, it does not recognize the default value and so I have to manually edit the task to select an option. This defeats the purpose of what is normally speedy task creation on mobile.
