Can you please add GPS tracking to the time track feature so the time recorded has a location stamp? And a real time view of where employees are located on a dashboard would make this the greatest app of all time.

Bex
Nick: thanks for this! Is there a way to get the active timer to display on the lock screen? It would be ideal to see the active timer outside of the clickup app. Otherwise it is easy to forget.
Juan Angel
Nick: I agree with Bex, this is great news but for the time tracking feature to be complete it needs to have a persistent notification while it's running.
Hilton Janfield
Juan Angel: I third this! A persistent notification with active timer(s?) AND if possible one that shows on lock screens, like how i can control YouTube Music without unlocking even though i can't see any other notifications.
Nick
Bex Juan Angel Hilton Janfield: really great idea! We would love to do that but unfortunately Google and Apple don't let you do anything with customizing the lock screen. Even other apps like Toggl don't have this capability.
Using the media controls is certainly an interesting idea! Worth investigating although I'd be a little weary of doing that since it would mean you couldn't listen to music (or other media) and track time at the same time.
Going to put this in our backlog!
Bex
Nick: what about something like a persistent notification?
Carson
Bex: Yup. Toggl's got one of those on Android.

Nat Gross
Juan Angel: The notification should allow pause/resume of the timer. Another great side benefit would be that the notification would automatically also appear on the Android watch, allowing it to be toggled from the wrist-watch. This WITHOUT the need for a click-up Android Wear app. Android does the notifications automatically. Nick

Looking forward to this! Loving the recent updates to the desktop app 😍 ready to ditch Toggl now and move all time-tracking to ClickUp 🙌

Another update for everyone! We were planning to release time tracking today but in testing last night at the 11th hour we found 2 more issues we want to fix before releasing.
We could have rushed to push it out this week but we made the decision to wait another week so we can ensure that there are no other lurking issues. The last thing we want is for this to feel half baked and buggy.
Thank you for bearing with us - we are right at the finish line and will have this in your hands very very soon!
Carson
Nick: Wooh 🙌 Super exciting!
Adelmo Galindo
Nick: Thanks Nick for sharing your decision with us! I can't wait to have this feature available on my iOS devices. It will be very helpful. Knowing the progress helps manage the expectation!
