Update on this? Using templates is so nice on desktop, but my work is increasingly in the field and I want to take advantage of repetitive tasks/subtasks. There are needs to trigger certain workflows while in the field based on circumstances.
Please add to mobile.

Yes crucial to be able to apply templates in app

Brendan W I'm wondering why this is marked "Planned" for the mobile app, while this isn't yet solved in ClickUp in General, but the feature request for that important functionality has many many votes: https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/edit-templates-and-see-more-about-each-template-inside-the-template-center
Should these be merged perhaps? Or should the status be updated?
Brendan W
Julian Pustkuchen: Hey there! Seeing more (previewing) or editing our actual templates in ClickUp is the feature request you linked above!
The one we're chatting on here is for mainly for using task templates on mobile!

Brendan W Sorry yes, I was confused by the title. They are surely related, but this should be labelled differently to reflect that?

I am looking for a new Workflow management to switch to from Trello. I really liked Click Up but the fact that you do not have access to templates on the mobile device is a deal breaker for me. I guess I have to keep looking.

I found a work around to this problem. On your desktop, create the following automation: WHEN "Task or subtask created", THEN "Apply a template". Set the location of the automation to a place where the types of tasks that you create are always the same. Set the template to which ever one you want. Now, whenever you create a task within that location, even when you are using the mobile app, your template will automatically be applied

YESSS!! Very much needed. At least give me option to duplicate a task via mobile. Although, I just spent 30 mins designing a template with subtasks when it may not be used very much because my users are mobile online and adding a default task will facilitate task creation. I use the description field as a form so my users can fill out the task details correctly.
You spoiled us with the template center via PC, now you need to make it available via mobile!! Thanks.

Hi Joey! My team is a part of an event production company that uses task templates to take our leads from inquiry stage all the way through post production. These templates have checklists relevant to each department's onboarding so that at any time, management, producers or event technicians can see the status of an event. For my producers who handle inquiries, being able to create an event inquiry via the task template on a mobile app would be very helpful. We plan to upgrade so that I can have required custom fields so no info gets missed - where those fields and requirements would also be programmed into the tasks. The way we use it - is once an inquiry (task) puts down a deposit, it becomes an active event (list) which is also a template [and then the inquiry task is moved over into said list for onboarding of the additional teams. Doing this in the field or on the go is important as the producers are often traveling. Thanks!

Hey everyone!
This has been planned for a bit and we are making some progress on starting it.
I'd love to know some use cases where you all would find it useful to have Templates on mobile. I'd also like to know what sort of Templates you would apply (List, Space, Task, Doc, etc.) and when you would apply them!
Let me know :)

Joey: for my team & myself, definitely task templates. These would be for team members who primarily work of their phones / mobile devices.
To be applied on existing lists mainly

Joey: I second task templates. We use templates with a table which has to be filled before we start work on task.
Michel Björn
Joey: Definitely for tasks. We have a standard setup for tasks so if we can have templates it will save us time, and effort, every time a new task is created.

Joey Everyone is mobile nowadays. To not have this functionality available on my mobile device is silly. How far away are you from being able to allow template use for tasks in the mobile app? I need to make my decision on which product to switch to for my team soon. Not having access to templates while mobile is a deal breaker for me and is exactly the reason I left Asana years ago.

Joey I want to be able to add a template shortcut as an icon on mobile home screen or at least in-app somewhere. I’d use a template to schedule a task that syncs with reclaim.ai. There are some specific things that need to be there, like assignee, due date, estimated time, and a specific tag. That’s impossible to create right now on mobile afaik! Thanks for your attention on this.

With the release of ClickUp 3.0. More of my team members have been actively using the mobile app, but are then dissuaded by the fact that existing templates which can be used & accessed on desktop can't be used on mobile.
It's pretty obvious ClickUp doesn't cater for repeated task creation on mobile - which should be given a bit more priority
