Show Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, attachments in tasks on mobile

Currently, Google Drive attachments on tasks that are accessed via mobile on the new app does not open the Google Drive app. This feature works on the old app. We need whoever has access to the task on ClickUp to be able to click on the Google Drive attachment, and automatically open the Google Drive app that allows the user to upload/manage files at that point. The current app just opens a page that says "This file cannot be previewed."

The new ClickUp mobile app should let users open Google Drive attachments directly in the Drive app, just like before. Right now, it only shows “This file cannot be previewed.” Adding this feature would make file access smooth and instant—just like how https://instaviewerig.com/ opens Instagram content seamlessly.

This is a valuable feature request, as seamless integration between ClickUp and Google Drive on mobile would greatly enhance productivity and collaboration. Allowing users to open Drive attachments directly in the Google Drive app—just as in the older version—ensures smooth file access, editing, and uploading without workflow interruptions. Implementing this would improve user experience for teams managing tasks on the go. For example, just like how travelers can easily browse available stores through https://airportterminal3.com/shops/ before arriving at Dubai Airport Terminal 3, ClickUp users should be able to open and manage Google Drive files instantly within the mobile environment.

The issue described by Drew Shafer highlights a functionality gap in the new ClickUp mobile app, where Google Drive attachments no longer open directly in the Google Drive app as they did in the old version. Instead, users encounter a “This file cannot be previewed” message, limiting their ability to upload or manage files efficiently. Enabling a direct integration that automatically launches the Google Drive app when users tap an attachment would greatly improve workflow consistency and productivity for teams. For example, platforms like CSS Prep Forum https://cssprepforum.com/ ensure smooth user experiences by maintaining seamless link and file accessibility across devices.

Currently, on the new ClickUp mobile app, Google Drive attachments in tasks do not open directly in the Google Drive app, unlike the old app, which allowed users to click on a Drive file and manage or upload it seamlessly; instead, the new app shows a “This file cannot be previewed” message, so it’s essential for ClickUp to restore this functionality to enable task collaborators to access and manage Drive files directly, similar to how streamlined processes are highlighted in guides like ISO Certification in Baghdad https://agsiraq.com/iso-certification-in-baghdad-iraq/ for easy reference.

It would definitely improve the mobile experience if Google Drive attachments in tasks opened directly in the Google Drive app instead of showing the "This file cannot be previewed" error, especially since the old app supported this feature. Being able to click on a Drive link, open it natively, and then upload or manage files seamlessly is key for collaboration in ClickUp, much like how sharing resources or external references such as https://xn--test-de-puret-nhb.fr/ can enhance accessibility and workflow efficiency.

I agree that having Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets attachments in tasks open directly in their respective Google apps on mobile would greatly improve workflow efficiency, just like the old app allowed. This seamless integration would let users upload, edit, and manage files instantly without being limited by the "This file cannot be previewed" screen, ensuring smoother task management. A similar approach can be seen in platforms like Scarlet iOS https://usescarlet.app/, which provides direct and optimized access to its resources, enhancing user experience through intuitive navigation and instant accessibility.

Currently, when accessing tasks via the new ClickUp mobile app, Google Drive attachments do not open directly in the Google Drive app as they did in the old version—instead, users see a "This file cannot be previewed" message, which limits functionality. It’s essential for team members with task access to be able to click a Drive attachment and seamlessly open it in the Drive app for file uploads or management. Just like how tools such as Yes or No Wheel (https://yesornowheeltool.com/) instantly provide a responsive experience for decision-making, integrations on productivity apps should offer smooth, app-to-app transitions for an efficient workflow.

Also we cannot add docs from cloud services on iOS

Any updates on this loss of functionality? We rely on this feature on a daily / moment to moment basis in our company. When they changed everyone to 3.0 in the last couple of weeks, the ability for Google Drive links to open up the Google Drive app on mobile devices stopped working altogether.
