You can now do this with our updated Share Sheet on iOS! 🎉
Make sure you update your app! 💜
Let me know what you think!

Add to task from share sheet

Michael
This is already in Canny (because I added it and it got cancelled https://feedback.clickup.com/new-mobile-app/p/add-to-task-from-share-sheet), but I still want it so I'm recreating it.
It seems we can create a NEW task from an image or link, but we can't ADD anything to an existing task. Pretty annoying if you have a project task and you run across a piece of information that you want to add to the task to remember for later. Currently we have to create a new task then merge it later. Then we have create a reminder for ourselves so we remember to merge LoL!

Ability to share iphone files to tasks as comments on iphone

Brayden Ankerstein
When you open up files or pictures on iphone, there is the ability to share to the clickup app to create a task out of the file, but it would be great to be able to use this share function to add a comment to clickup. For instance, when I receive a picture through i message I want to be able to quickly attach it as a comment to a clickup task.

Share to clickup button available for more app categories

Jaron Flynn
Seems like this only works on browsers and you can only create new tasks/descriptions... I want to collect links using clickup as well and it’s been a great repository. The ability to use the share button on other apps including shopping apps like Amazon/b&h/Fiverr/etc. would be so helpful. To be able to add links to the custom “link” field of a newly created task would also be very cool but not even the chrome extension on desktop can do it so that’s just for bonus points

Joey
Thanks for the request! Have you seen any other apps do this well for inspiration?

Michael
Joey: lol you guys really love to overthink things 🤯 we just need another level in the share sheet access menu to reveal the tasks in a given list. Real simple. No need to overthink. I mean you might have to have a dialogue or something asking where we want to add (description, chat, website link into CF?!?!), but I’m not a developer.

Michael
Joey: I think this might be the same ask as https://feedback.clickup.com/new-mobile-app/p/share-to-an-existing-task-with-ios-share-sheet

Michael
Voted. ALSO - the capability to
add to
an existing task. Creating a new task is great, but sometimes I will see an image or pdf or some such item that I want to add to an existing task, but all that is currently possible is to create a new task, which I then have to remember to merge into the actual task I want it to be in.Bonus points for subtasks.
