Quickly create basic tasks like an inbox
Adam Davidson
For quickly jotting down a task on the run, don't require choosing space:list. Just have an inbox as holding place. Later, can add assignees lists etc.

Id love a short cut to the homescreen for a "quick access" to my daily task list. A 1 click open and add task with no worries

I think there could simply be a feature to indicate the preferred list or default list.
This way, once the default list is indicated, and you are not within a list, creating any task will already activate that default list.

Options to consider for quick add of task guys...
Quick add todoist (SO many options including lock screen widget on ios), and then just use a zap to move it over.
Use shortcuts to request for text then use webhooks or email url pulled from your Clickup ïnbox" list add task.
I use the Braintoss app with 5 predefined clickup email id's that correspond to the main clickup lists I use. With Braintoss, you can now type in a text, click a pic or dictate to text, and have it sent straight into clickup as a task this way.

The creation of the task (detail) is incomplete, so it should indicate it’s not complete and auto prompt to complete the creation of the task (entry of sub tasks, assignment etc)

Paul: Agreed, a completion % would be a nice addition for this

Yes - I use other apps for this and then have to remember to add to clickup. :(

Yeah I literally use Todoist and a zap to allow me to do this on the fly. It's saves me tons of time but would love this on clickup.

Vinay Chatlani: Nice idea. I currently use Todoist as there is no better at easily adding a Task. If Clickup was as seamless that would be todo heaven
