please consider adding all of the desktop function to the mobile app, including calculations like SUM.
Joey
We are adding editing now! Do you have any notes on this modal before we build it?

Joey will it also work to just type 'h' dor hour or 'm' for minute after the number? I find that the easiest way to enter the time estimate.
Zachary Zanger
Joey - this is so exciting!
I generally use both hours and minutes like 1 hour 30 minutes for example. Will we be able to do this here?
Also, it would be great to see list calculations as well.
Thank you!
Joey
Danielle: Let me check with engineering!
Joey
Zachary Zanger: Good question. If your task was 1 hour and 30 mins, then this modal would show 1.5 hours or 90 mins.
Would it be better if it worked like this?

Joey Please also make it possible to use other desimal separators than . since this is not correct for all countries. Should be dependent of area settings or separate setting. For us , would be the correct symbol, i.e. 1,5 hours, but also support 1h 30m as others mention here.
Zachary Zanger
Joey this works for me, thank you!
Jon Rowand
Joey my two cents, I would prefer a text field with the same functionality as the web and desktop versions where we can type out with different conventions being recognized. Much like others have mentioned here.
Simon Schilling
Joey for mobile it would be great to have a row of typical/often used values to add quickly with one tap: 30m, 1h, 1h30, etc.

Joey It would be great if you could access time estimate in the same window when you set a due date instead of having to do both separately. Specifically for the time estimate window that pops up, it text box isnt very intuitive with mixing numbers for time and letters for units of time (m,h) could there be a couple quick select buttons that I can set up for really common times, like 30 min, 1hr, 2hr, 4hr, 8hr? These quick buttons would act kind of like tags, to where I can set up ones that work for our organization and the logic inserts the time based on the button selected.

Merged in a post:
Allow me to a tag and time estimate to a task in mobile

Why can't I add a tag to a task in mobile? I have to go into the computer, add the tag, then go back to my phone.

I also vote for this time estimate functionality in the app.
I want to see my time estimates (currently, it is not displayable in Kanban view) and - more importantly - I want to be able to set my time estimates.
Please also directly when creating the task, with no extra overhead.
(When I create a field, I want to select a List (ideally preselected!), Write a title, set due dates, modify the status, set tags and a priority and do a time estimate. All in one step)

Need to be done…

This is something that I believe should have been a part of the app experience naturally.
I am unable to understand why not till now?
This post is In Progress for almost 2 years. Why?
I don't think that it is a very complicated feature to deliver. Correct me if I am wrong.

The use of 'Reclaim' is the reason this is so essential for many users as of late, but this is one of those things that should really be available out of the box with a mobile release. Without time-estimates, tasks cannot be synced to Reclaim from mobile. If I want things to be synced, I'll have to wait until I open up my computer and go back to add a time-estimate there (to every task I created).
This is despite being able to view the time-estimate in mobile, edit other properties, AND edit time-tracking (strangely).
Task templates seemed like a good workaround, but mobile doesn't support them (strangely). Then, I thought maybe you could duplicate another existing task to copy the same properties - you can't do this either (strangely).
The only real option is automations. Creating an automation for a time-estimate to occur whenever a task is created. What happens when I run out of automations?
As noted, you'll have a sizable user-base using ClickUp purely because of Reclaim. By not adding this simple feature, you'll make some Reclaim users switch to Jira, which is arguably the closest competitor in terms of agile task management and pricing tiers (they even offer a similar free plan). They offer time-estimates out of the box on their mobile application.
This has been an issue since 2018. This feature has been acknowledged for 6 years, 4 months and 26 days (as of my time of posting).
It's such a picky request, but honestly, your product demographic are mostly productivity-heads looking to shave seconds off their daily routine actions every day. This is one of those instances.
Correct it and avoid making a mountain out of a molehill.

I hope this is being addressed soon. It’s been unavailable for a very long time.
Amy Morales
Also here because I need this field for Reclaim.ai integration, and time estimate cannot be added on mobile.

Please fix this!!! Trying to use this with REclaim!
