Mobile 3.0 - The mobile application is not perfectly synchronized with the web application
building now
Amara Amzal
The task statuses in the mobile application are not always properly synchronized with the statuses they have in the web or desktop application. This occurs even when refreshing the mobile application's homepage. Exiting the application entirely and relaunching it does not even resolve the issue. This is not sustainable.

Hey Joey!
In my case, anything related to the favorites or pinned section takes ages to sync. I’m not sure exactly how long, but it definitely takes a while. I could say that a lot of the things others are experiencing, I’m experiencing too, especially the part about Docs.
Joey
Marina Grujicic: Interesting, thank you! We will look into it!

Hey everyone. Can you help me out and let me know some specific examples where you see data not syncing properly on mobile and web? I am actively assigning out work like this to engineering and would love to ship a lot of fixes in our next release!
- For example: "I am seeing incorrect task statuses in list view until I open the task on mobile"
I am also going through comments already left here to make sure we have tasks for all of them.
Thanks for helping improve ClickUp mobile! 📱

Joey i dont seen the issue in the last 2 weeks

Hi Joey,
The content of pages in some Docs are not displaying at all, for example.

When I create a Space in the web and delete default list, I do not see that Space on mobile. I need to create a list to appear.

Joey I have dashboards that show the sum of multiple fields on different tasks. For example:
All tasks created inside “x” list have a custom field (numeric) that is added up in my dashboard. that field is related to sales and I need to see: daily, weekly and monthly sales. But dashboard on mobile only shows last synced data that was performed on web/computer. Even if I refresh dashboard manually on my phone, I wont get to see latest data

Our teams will upload pictures via the mobile app but it will not show up in mobile but you can vuew them on desktop.

Joey I create a task in a certain list and then add a due date (on the desktop app). When I go in the same list on mobile, I don't see the task. I need to exit the list, and then go back to it so that a refresh is done.
Also, when I create a task on mobile, it automatically appears in the Calendar view. But when I delete the task on mobile too, it stays there. I need to exit the list, and then go back to it to see the task disappear.

Joey, hello!
So, in addition to the problem you mentioned, it's also the lack of a button/gesture that forces immediate synchronization, to ensure that I'm working with the most up-to-date version of a task.
For example: within the mobile app, it takes a long time for my app to notice that I'm online and updates all the work to the most recent changes I made to the computer app (because I use my cell phone more to keep track of things than actually do them or delegate something). Then when I see it, it doesn't have the files I attached, or the artwork that's ready for posting, because the page didn't update in time.
I end up missing an update button both on the Android widget (which allows me to keep track of things without having to enter the app or something like that) and from within the app itself.

Joey this may not be directly related, but please improve loading times for the ClickUp app calendar. It takes something like 15sec to load the tasks...

Joey When I delete a task that I just created on mobile via the Calendar view, it still remains visible. (This issue doesn’t occur on the desktop version.)

Mobile task notifications are not synced. The typical example: I get a mobile notification that some task is due today. I end up marking task as "Complete" on Desktop app. I look back at my phone and the notification that the task needs to be addressed remains on my phone... for days. I would expect that the mobile notification disappears as soon as the task gets completed on the desktop app.
Because of this lack of correct syncing, mobile notifications have become next to useless for me. That's because at any given moment, of the 10 or so task notifications I have showing up on my phone, half have already been completed, and the rest are either "in progress" or I had moved them to another day from my desktop app. In other words, the "notifications" cease to function to "notify" me of their tasks' true, current statuses. I end up needing to ignore them wholesale since it is not practical to wade through each notification and decide one-by-one which is still relevant and actionable.

Hi Joey
Appart from syncing, as you are taking care of mobile improvements, another very important issue is the one related with widgets. Currently, ClickUp only have 1 widget for mobile (at least on Android) which is not enough. The mobile app needs to be complemented with useful widgets. In my opinion, at least it must be possible to select any of our lists and also to have a calendar view (a widget with a native calendar view, could replace the need to synchronize with Google Calendar for some users).
Thanks.
Joey
Incredibly helpful everyone, thank you so much!!

There are still far too many synchronization problems...

I am consistently running into issues with updating statuses on mobile and updating custom fields. It often freezes when I try to select the new status and does not let me add new options to the CFs from mobile, only select pre-existing options.

Information added or updated on the desktop version, not always syncs correctly on the mobile version. I notice this specially on custom field type "Labels" (I change labels on some records and they not always update on mobile. The solution is to clean the cache on the mobile app, but this is not a good way of working).
Dima Pursanov
Chat messages that are already read - still appear in the mobile app. Even if I've "smart notifications" enabled - it still is sending them instantly and showing on mobile. What needs to happen: read messages should be removed from the mobile app, like other apps (like chats) do.

Fields such as dropdown fields are often not synchronized on mobile, they appear empty when they are all assigned or selected on the desktop
Guy Mannerings
"Recents" are never correct, and the search Recents is also different to the tab Recents.
Either way, neither list the correct items and are often also 2 says behind sync.
