This is a natural and familiar gesture on mobile that will help recreate the board experience from the web.

I'm surprised there are not more requests for this. Is there another feature somewhere for this that I'm missing that does this?
Joey
Thanks for this request! We have also heard that users want drag and drop in Board view on mobile. Is that what you mean?

Joey: Thanks for your reply! I meant more of a swipe action like the one you might find in an email app when swiping left/right on a message to archive it. In this case it would transition one status to the left/right based on direction. You’d have to try both to be sure, but I suspect this will yield a sleeker UX than drag and drop.
In a perfect world, for me, at least, you’d be able to swipe left/right for quick transitions, and have a quick gesture to mark a task as completed.
Rationale: Drag and drop is less critical because I rarely skip statuses when transitioning a task (unless I’m skipping all the way to a completed status). It is also not my gesture of choice since it has a little more friction compared to a quick swipe. If I were transitioning a task and had to skip statuses, I’d prefer 2-3 quick swipes or even a tap-and-select-status to drag and drop. The limited horizontal real estate on mobile isn’t going to do you any favors as far as drag and drop’s UX, either.
Sidebar: I am so happy both with this app and with the ability to open and vote on feature requests. Thank you!
