Improve time tracking on mobile by reducing taps and increasing visibility

With the new App 3.0 interface, tracking time is a much worse experience.
This is a major problem, since time tracking is one of the main reasons to use the app.
Previously the workflow was a single tap on the nicely colored play button.
Now, when I open the task I can't even SEE the time tracking. I have to remember where it is, swipe all the way to the left in the top bar thing to see a dull, grey button (which doesn't even show how much time I've tracked), then tap twice to actually start the clock.
Continuing the theme, there is no indication within the task that it is the task I am currently tracking time to. Yes, you have the green bar at the top from before, but I have to read the task name to confirm where I'm at.
Finally, I have to swipe left and tap twice again to stop the clock.
How to fix it:
- Add a second row to that top bar of options, so that you can see time tracking immediately on opening a task.
- Lose the grey stopwatch + "Track Time" button and go back to a play button with numbers next to it showing time tracked so far.

Would be great to have a time tracking notification that actively let's us play/pause/stop the recording without having to enter the app.
Similar to how you can play/pause/stop music from your home screen and notification with apps like Spotify.

Having a widget for starting/pausing/stopping the time tracking for any task would make that feature even more useful than it already is. Having a relevant and interactive checklist visible on a Home Screen like iOS Reminders would make that feature really versatile. Being able to see even a small but clickable preview of the most recent attachment for a task or list would help improve communication between myself and my team since we’re constantly revising diagrams and designs.

Being able to have the track time shown in the notification panel of the phone or tablet.
Like it does with native chronometer of the phone for example.
You could easily pause or stop it from there without opening the app.
It is to be encouraged to track, and not forget about it when you do!
And access to the task too.

I want to be able to start time tracking with one touch from a task card. Currently, it takes 3 touches:
1) Touch the stopwatch, which opens the time tracking
2) Stop the currently running timer
3) Start the timer
On the desktop app, this is the work of a single click -- click on the timer button and it switches to the new job. I'd like the same functionality in mobile.

Have a running timer notification on iOS/Android. Allows you to stop/start the timer, but the main benefit is just in being able to see that there is a timer running at all!
Also to help keep you focused when dealing with millions of incoming notifications, which usually reach through through the notifications menu.

Hi! My team totally depends on the "My work" or "Calendar" view in the app. This worked wonderful, but now the timeslots are not directly visible anymore. It takes them extra steps to open the task and it makes their planning confusing. Can you please change it back to how it was?

Hey Joe,
Yes, If we have a task scheduled from 10a to 2pm, the time tracker should default to those time so the assignee can quickly submit their hours, or adjust the IN or OUT time. Right now it default to the time they click on the time tracker.
