Hey, everyone! Thank you for all of your feedback regarding our tablet experience. After reading through all of your lovely feedback, I have decided that the best way for us to organize and qualify these ideas is to break them into more granular requests.

Have you met the iPad Pro? For many users it’s more powerful than their computers. So could we please have a more capable iPad app? One that at least aims to match all the features of the ClickUp Web and Desktop apps. It feels like such a waste to have an app that seems so throttled in ability.

The iPad should have an option to turn on grid calendar view just like the browser version. I understand there may be space limitations on some devices but please add it as an option for iPad. Another big problem with the calendar that can be fixed for all mobile devices is past dates. Why can’t we view the past calendar days on mobile.

The ipad app is basically the smartphone app but bigger. It's obvious that it was created for the smartphone, which makes is look pretty bad. It doesn't take advantage of the big screen and the power of an ipad. There should be a dedicated version just for the ipad.

So Clickup needs 4+ years to fix the Ipad app (ongoing since it's still useless)?
Guess Clickup is unsuitable for a professional organization that uses Ipads a lot.

Yeah we need updates to the Ipad app badly haha. I was only on it for about 3-5 mins, and It was an immediate no for me. Already choosing to go to the web browser over the app for a number of reasons:
Tasks are locked in a certain layout/view. its split 50/50 down the middle of the screen with no way to adjust how much or little I see the main items (descriptions, subtasks, checklists, etc) vs the side bar (chat, history, etc). Unless I’m working on a task that requires chat history (which I rarely do) this makes it so that almost 1/2 - 1/4th of my Ipad screen is just… not being used. Also, for things like descriptions I have to click into the text (making it take up the entire screen) to even write anything. Extremely cumbersome/annoying and limits the workflow pretty badly.
Additionally from what I can see, I can’t access things like task templates which is also a HUGE part of my workflow. I have several templates that I typically just import into a new task to help structure client details for my team/myself, all of which unfortunately seem to be unavailable.
Lastly when creating a task, it popping up at the bottom is fine until you realize you don’t have an option to expand it or make it bigger… it just stays small, unless you choose to go to the list/space and open it. In which case, you’re right back in the situation I described above 🥲
Thats about as far as I got before I had to switch. I’m an avid click up user and i love the platform/happily pay for the monthly subscription with upgrades. But the Ipad app is realllllllly underwhelming. PLEASE make this app more like the desktop app/experience!
EDIT -So i went to the click up page and loaded the website and tried to access click up on browser. It works WAYYY better, so much so that i decided to try and book mark the page and add it to homescreen for easy access. This somehow prompted adding a new/different version of what seems to be a click up app to my ipad that again, works WAY better. Not sure if maybe i had a wrong app or this is some sort of work around, but try this if you are struggling on Ipad!
