Import using mobile app
R
Ryan O'Dell
Currently you cannot import using the ClickUp mobile app.
You can import using the web, however the web is not mobile friendly (it's awful).
This means you should have a separate computer to import data into ClickUp, which is awkward as you may not have a computer (mobiles rule! 😁) or you simply don't wish to start up the computer to run this specific task.
Since most of the import functionality happens behind the scenes (on the ClickUp servers) it seems trivial to add the import option into the mobile app.

Local Sync with phone tasks on Android (maybe iPhone?)
Cédric
Syncing the tasks locally, within the Android phone's tasks repository would allow the following:
- offline access (read and write)
- integration with other apps without having to go through an integration layer.
External application could access (with the appropriate rights) these tasks, allowing to display or update these tasks from within their own app or widgets.
Apps like this already exist, so just the ability to get ClickUp tasks from the Android repository is missing.
There are apps like calendar/tasks management (already managing external sources, Google but not only, Exchange Outlook, everything as long as they sync on the phone, could be having the tasks while working on docs, etc, anything and everything is possible at a very low effort on mobile).
This also allows not to have to develop lots of widgets, shortcuts and various Android features straight away, because users 👥 could this way really on the existing tools.
I think that this is also applicable to iOS, even if I don't know the specifics.

What would this help you accomplish in the mobile app?

Really appreciate you submitting this request!

Any Apple integration like this would be incredible. I love the power of Apple reminders and it’s virtually frictionless for getting my thoughts out and if we could batch add our lists/reminders to mobile Clickup, even just the personal list, it would really improve the workflow.

Hi! Do you mean syncing with Google Tasks?
Cédric
Joey: Sorry, missed your answer.
Kind of. Google Tasks is also "a" consumer (maybe the main one), but it's like syncing a Calendar on the Android device. You can choose Outlook or any app to sync its own calendar on the Android device, and this calendar can then be read/seen possibly updated depending on the rights by Google calendar or any other app without having to know the source app or any specific API, as it just interacts with the native Android calendar.
Hope this clarifies :-)
