I'm just starting to use Zap to connect ClickUp and Dubsado, trying to pull custom fields and am horribly disappointed that I cannot. Even more disappointed to see that this has been a long known problem. By the looks of things, it's a Zapier issue not a ClickUp issue but just want to add my frustrated two cents here and to ask if ya'll could get onto Zapier's case about this. I was using Integromat (Make) previously and custom fields worked just fine. Why does Zapier not have it together on this important matter?

Hey guys you should totally look at Automate.io instead of Zapier it handles the Custom Fields perfectly. I don't know why this isn't mentioned as a fix or workaround. I have no affiliation with Automate.io just someone who was flippin frustrated with Zapier not pulling in the Custom Fields. As I was try to get our Customer Database out of Clickup and into Google Sheets to then import into Xero. Fairly complicated and Zapier just kept jumbling up all the data. Automate.io automatically filters out the Custom Fields and puts them as seperate fields FINALLY!

Yes, custom fields in Zapier and API is a must. Even trello and airtable have this.

As many have pointed out, we need the ability to separate out the custom fields. I have an Email field amongst other custom fields in my tasks and when I use Zapier and try to pick the email field all the ClickUp custom fields are lumped together. This renders it useless...

There is no way to change or pull data from custom fields in ClickUp. Need to be able to get into individual fields, not just see the list of data in all custom fields.

this does not work
it provides all the options not the chosen ones

Makes no sense not to have custom fields in zapier. Without it makes my zaps a waste of time!

+1 on custom fields! Also, more flexibility on actions and fields as well.
For example, since changing a tasks due date isn't an available ZAP option, I've been having to use a workaround where a ZAP adds time to a task, then I have a ClickUp automation change the due date of a task when time is added.
This clutters my work flow and uses two tasks to accomplish one objective.
