Hey Everyone! We'll be updating our docs and interface to reflect the ability to link in Sharepoint files to ClickUp. We already had this feature it was just not clearly marked.
With that said there are a lot of different ideas around"sharepoint Integration" and we want to make sure we go after the right ones.
We think Power Automate integration would solve a lot since its directly connected to lists in Sharepoint, please upvote on this request if you haven't already! https://clickup.canny.io/integrations/p/microsoft-power-automate
If neither the file picker or Power Automate will solve your use case, please make a new request outlining your needs. You can post it on this thread for others to vote on :)

One additional note, if there is another platform that has a Sharepoint integration that does what you need, please share it with the feature request, it helps us know what exactly is needed and possible. Thanks everyone!!

Ivan Villa where can i find a tutorial?

Quirin: You can learn more in our docs. https://docs.clickup.com/en/articles/3410216-microsoft-onedrive-sharepoint

Ivan Villa: Is it possible to integrate Sharepoint in a way where we can navigate through the SharePoint folders in ClickUp. This feature is available in Confluence. Was wondering if it is available with ClickUp

Files attached from our Onedrive in a task will be deleted if the folder of Onedrive is deleted due to resign of employees for example. How to solve this problem?
Önder Bağcı
Thomas Wong: We created a shared sharepoint team folder where all work-related shared documents are kept. Client documents, pitch presentations, offers etc.. Maybe it would help in your case, too.

Thomas Wong
Önder Bağcı: Thanks! Please advise how to create this folder to share documents in SharePoint.

Thomas Wong: Hey, hope this'll help. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/create-a-document-library-in-sharepoint-306728fe-0325-4b28-b60d-f902e1d75939
If you don't have a team site you'll have to create one first.
Don't forget to add people to your site/shared library!

Önder Bağcı: Thanks@ How can we upload files from ClickUp to these folders in SharePoint?

Hey Everyone! Would Love some clarity on the major thing everyone is looking for with the Sharepoint integration.
Doing a little digging we saw that our current Integration with Onedrive provides file access to Sharepoint as well. We will be updating our docs so it's more clear but hopefully, that solves things for a number of you.
There is also integration with their lists feature which we saw had a tie in with Power Automate. We have a separate request for that here https://clickup.canny.io/integrations/p/microsoft-power-automate but were wondering if creating a power automate integration would solve a lot of issues here as well.
Thank for your time, look forward to hearing from everyone :)

Ivan Villa: I'm not familiar with power automate but I use Sharepoint lists a lot and they are clunky and time consuming. Would love to replace my lists with click-up tasks but I do still have a need for these lists to display in sharepoint pages and process documentation.
Jamie Schwartz
Ivan Villa: I'm not sure power automate would solve the sharepoint integration problem but having that OOTB connector for Power Automate and Workato would be very helpful.
Our business is heavily integrated with O365 and our desire to use SharePoint would be so our attachments stay in a single document repository and security can be manged there. Having in SharePoint allows for document collaboration too which avoids having too many versions attached in ClickUp. In a perfect scenario, you could also have Views that allow for embedding O365 docs much like G-Suite allows.

Ivan Villa: Being able to set a Sharepoint Site on a Space by Space Basis and...
Each time a Folder is added to a Space, it create a folder on the Sharepoint site
When a List is created in a folder, it would nest a folder under the folder's folder
When a Task is created in a List, it would nest a folder under the list's folder
Each time a file is attached to a task, it would be physically stored on the sharepoint, but accessible by link in Click up.
Önder Bağcı
Ivan Villa: I actually want to add the document library folders as tabs in ClickUp. That way all the back and forth between project management and document management tools would stop. Add to that the improved chat and you've got a single hub for most of client's work.

Thanks Everyone! looks like "sharepoint integration" means a lot of different things for different people. I will be taking this back to the product team to see how we want to approach this. 🙂

Ivan Villa: For me, Sharepoint integration is mostly for centralising documents.
Yes, I can reach the files with the OneDrive integration, but it's a workaround and I'd prefer something more streamlined.
Any feature that will improve sharing, accessing, managing and editing my files in Sharepoint Online through Clickup will be very welcome.

Ivan Villa: Because my company uses Microsoft Teams, many of the files we collaborate on are stored in SharePoint, not OneDrive. I can access some of my files using the current OneDrive integration, but for some reason it doesn't allow me to access the files from all my SharePoint sites. It could be that this is a Microsoft issue. (Note: I just did some experimentation, and it appears that you can access all the SharePoint document libraries you want, you just have to follow (star) them on SharePoint. Once you do this, they will show up once you click on "More libraries" and then scroll down to the "Followed" section.

Ivan Villa: A Power Automate Connector would be great. This means we can pass information from SharePoint to Click Up via Power Automate.
Ivan Villa
Matt Lee: Hey Matt! that is what I am thinking would solve a lot of issues but we already have a separate request for that so please make sure to jump on this one :) https://clickup.canny.io/integrations/p/microsoft-power-automate
