based on a suggestion via support ticket, i'd like to put my 10c here:
proper email integration is missing in clickup.
the root cause (as it seems to me) is that we currently can't integrate a support mailbox into clickup, instead we have to FORWARD mails from a support mailbox to a clickup list.
this introduces all kinds of issues, like not beeing able to thread conversations, or the fact that it double-creates new tasks altough the external partner is replying to an existing conversation.
before buying clickup i tested competitor solutions and the one that really stood out in terms of email support was onedesk. the email integration was that good that it was even able to handle mails MOVED into the support mailbox manually and was able to autodetect original partner source addresses when forwarding mails from personal mailboxes to the central support mailbox.
